Can I assume then that if you haven't asked me out yet then you're just not interested? And there's only one stick I'd give you...

See, I've heard mixed things- some guys love it, and some think the girl comes on too strong and is intimidating. I just say go with your instinct and see what happens. And my thinking is if you never try, you'll never know.

i think im a bit old fashion or maybe to shy but whats everyones opinion about girls coming onto lads, yea i know the lads will say YEAH defo we love it but i dont know if its because im shy or old fashioned, im scared to lol Laughing

I have the same problem MsIbiza... I'm shy so the moment I fancy a guy half of my brain suddenly shuts down Crying or Very sad
I also like the fact that I prefer a guy to show interest in me but in a relaxed not pushy way...otherwise I get too nervous, blush and get embarassed!!! Embarassed
However I also think that it has to be a 50/50 thing between men/women, if there's an interest, both need to do something about it....it's the first step the most difficult one but after that, you just play by ear!!!!

I don't think thats true. Some guys and girls know what they want, but don't go for it because of being shy. The fear of rejection is a huge factor for not approaching someone.

And Jda87- you look so familiar... Laughing

Just so you know, you disproved your own invalidation of the veracity of my statement. The fact that you said "some guys and girls know what they want" implies that others don't. So if we're going that route, then what I said is still true... and you seem familiar too. HMMMM. Very Happy

But you stated that "I've heard that if a guy wants something, he's not afraid to get it" which is a generalized statement about men. I just said some know, but don't go for it which I have seen happen. Not everyone has the business mentality that you seem to have (want it and get it) and no need to get all defensive. Cazzo! Laughing

And I miss you...

Nope, not true, you have taken 1/2 of her sentence, the part that suits your argument, and treated it as a whole. In the process, though, you have also altered the meaning.

Anyway, I think it's more likely there's no single reason that always stops someone going for a person that they fancy for whatever reason. I know I've not gone for people I've fancied for all sorts of different reasons, rather than a single reason. One time I totally blanked a girl who'd taken an interest in me, because I was pre-occupied with the fact I'd had hiccups all day & wasn't really in the mood as a result. Another time it was because I just wasn't interested in pulling anyone for another reason I won't bore you with. Sometimes it's been a fear of rejection that's stopped me going for someone, but then other days I just don't care.
