Hi,

I've seen some very attractive girls on this site & I've send messages to them & sometimes I'd don't get a reply I normally I say How are you?, yet no reply's. Can somebody give some advice on what is should say.

In the real world, if you met someone for the first time, would you start off by saying "how are you"?

and...

If you were a girl on this site receiving 5 messages a day all saying "how are you" would you bother replying to them all?

and...

If you had gone to all the trouble of filling out a profile to let other people know about your personality and interests, would you expect someone messaging you for the first time to demonstrate an interest in what you had written?

Wink

Very attractive girls get loads and loads of messages.
What's going to make yours stand out? What's going to make them reply? Confused
I agree with the others... Humour and honesty are the basis.
But ask yourself, ‘What is my message intended to do?’
I think it should introduce you to the recipient. This doesn’t have to be the very first thing, but (somewhere) it should say a little about you. And not a copy and paste from your profile.
I think it should say why you are messaging. This may be blindingly obvious to you… But not to anyone else! Just that you fancy them probably won’t be enough, so you need to add some commonalities: if they live local to you, say that; otherwise a shared interest in sport, or movies, or music and performers, etc, etc.
I agree with bounderushu, you need to show you have read the profile, especially the About Me text. BTW - This shouldn’t be pointing out the mistakes in spelling or grammar! Laughing
Finally there should be a call for some action… No, not what you’re thinking – but you can try that, if you like. I always ask for them to look at my profile and very few haven’t. I leave it to them if they want to continue. If you want to push it a little, you can ask to meet them. (And press that ‘Do you want to meet me’ button! Razz )
But you can just settle for, ‘I'd like to hear from you.’ Or, 'Message me back' etc.
Good luck and welcome to the forums.

MMmmm... I'd find that intriguing and worth answering. Few manage to prove me wrong in any way. LOL But then again, I'm a sucker for smart people (as long as they're not extremely rude to a point where I see no respect for me lol)

Sometimes its good to ask them about an interest they have, especially if you know something about it. But the few times I have messagesd women, I always try and ask them a question they have to answer [nearly always anyway] Smile

Yeah, a question is good providing it's not one they would have known the answer if they'd read my profile!!
I don't like these starters 'cos that's the majority:-
B-O-R-I-N-G!!

Fancy a chat?
What're you looking for on here?
How are you?
What's your msn?

......I like people who think 'outa the box' so I need something a little more interesting to grab my attention BUT I do answer the boring ones too.
Sometimes I answer the same way, you know 'limited' yes or no etc. just to make a point and then messages fizzle out.

Theres so many repetitive messages that i get, just like what gypsymoon said.I never reply to messages, i do read them though and to be fair none really grab any of my interest.

i did reply to some messages but these were from someone that was on forums and i could see what they wrote and how they thought so i got a better idea of them, so when i got a mail i saw the name that i recognised and read it and replied. so it went from there.

Maybe instead of just mailing someone, get a bit more active on the forums or if worse comes to worse the chatroom.

Start with 'are you nice or easy?'

It's a good indicator of how things will progress UT

As the ladies are saying, they get too many mesages..and maybe some are a bit fussy. Probably best not to bother. I warned a mate, that most of his messages will be ignored..and he has found out the hard way.

Just ask them for the directions to a classy local restaurant, and a theatre with a good show on, then, ask if they'd like to come along tonight, because they are beautiful, sound amazing and genuine, are respectable and valuable, and... you are sincere and so are they. Tends to work quite well apparently, as opposed to: "Wow, you've got a lovely big..." and words to that effect!!!!!!!!!
