Hi everyone

I'm new to this website and although I've been on here for only a few days I am quite surprised at how many young men are looking at my profile and sending me messages. I am assuming that they don't want a romantic relationship with an old lady like me... :lol so I guess they want a chat and to see where that leads

My question is....whilst I have no problem with their messages I'm not interested in love with a young man....so should I be saying this on my profile? If I do, is that being rude and ageist and (actually!) will it make any difference? I mean...will they keep on looking and messaging anyway?

Is it rude to ignore their messages? Is it rude to assume they are after a shag and reply in that vein?

What do you think?

I'm 48 years old with a 12 year old daughter and I'm not much interested in younger men...maybe a couple of years younger but that's it....is that too prescriptive, do you think?

All replies welcome because after all.... you all know this website much better than me! Smile

Nothing wrong with your answer, you have been polite and diplomatic enough to express, not wanting to forge or form any misleading relationship with young boys ,guys or gentlemen, lol
I guess it is for them to read your profile and try respecting your wish.
It's pretty hard keeping up with replies from these younger fans too I would imagine, but it is also polite to find time to reply them with the same expression and feelings you posted here ,especially as they are showing some sort of appreciation regarding your profile picture .
However ,simply ignoring them might do the trick, not my place to say either.
Keep smiling though, some people out there think you are hot,and they probably want to be around you this winter Very Happy Wink Laughing

Aww what a lovely response...

I thought I might come across as bossy and dictatorial if I started telling young men I am not interested!

Perhaps I will alter my profile to indicate the age range of guys in which I am interested and go from there?

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond.

Oh my lord! Some differing views! I know men are more visual so perhaps if i dressed in me dom gear that'd sort out the men from the boyz ( just kiddin') ....Q and A? i must have missed that??? I wonder how that happened.

Thank you all so much for your replies, btw. its really nice to feel so welcome! Laughing

best to just ignore them.
Some young guys like older women some dont.
U can put it on ur prifile what age range u want but most guys ignore that anyway.
Some older women do prefer the younger guys. so the guys might ignore what u want and go for it anyway lol.

Same with women they tend to ignore whats on the profile and pester older guys that r not interested in them.
So it works both ways. so best just to ignore those ur not interested in and dont reply to them and they will soon get the msg.

Im 60 and had msgs from loads of teenage girls wanting me i just ignore them. But thats on other sites. Been on here for about 10 years now and only had 5 msgs lol.
Thats how u an tell which r the scam sites. on the scam sites u get bombarded with msgs. on real sites u wont get very many.
