Isn't it a good thing to change or at least re-consider one's opinions/judgements/morals/values etc all the time? I do it frequently (at least the re-think *about* my stance) and this kind of forum is a good place where all sorts of issues come up that make me think "now you've said that"....."well, actually, on second thoughts....".

Oh, I quite agree.

It's difficult to explain without mentioning specific incidents, but they were more personal than simply airing changeable morals or preferences, and sometimes even verged on personal attacks on people (or their profile, or their profile photo, or their state of undress in their photos), so I should actually drop the subject, shouldn't I?

I suppose anyone with the time or inclination would backtrack through the forum and see what the person they are intrested in has publicly aired on the forum, and make their mind up whether or not that person still remains 'attractive' to them.

Basically, what I'm saying is that it is easy to change ones profile, and the old profile will soon be forgotten. Forum posts are there (intact) for as long as the database is on the server.

I think everyone is entitled to change their mind about things. Often people bring up a subject and makes someone think differently about it. Personally, with all the best will in the world, i couldn't go out with someone who was nearer my sons age than mine or nearer my dads age.

IMO you don't need a 'smiley' photo at all. I never had a smiley photo on my old profile and it didn't seem to matter one way or another. At the moment I have neither a photo nor any description on my profile page and it hasn't been a hindrance with dating through this site (or another one I use).

I think it was me who explained that I meant 'stick a smile on yer face' when writing posts or sending private messages, metaphorically meaning or rather yes literally *smile* - it hides the depressed negativity is what I meant.

I don't think anyone has the right to make personal attacks/abuse on others like that.
