vicky..kevin is right...you know u smoke when on the phone, after meals and so forth...make sure your cigs are unattainable, but hard to get to...i put mine upstairs, so i would have to get up and get them...most of the time said hell with it didnt want to move from the chair or leave the movie haha....but it never fails as soon as i start quitting, start losing weight some asshole sends me over the edge and now here i am eating my chocolate and smoking like a chimney...ah bloody hell.....just be concious of when u smoke..take a drag if need be..luv ya and good luck

ok, there is this book out that i know has helped 4 people to stop smoking, it's a bit repetative but it tends to work. It's called the easy way to stop smoking by allen carr it likes brainwashes you haha but it's good, if all else fails. Good luck btw

Popcorn you say, get the booze out..........I hate sound of listening to my own voice, its aweful.

Anyway I actually did it, just waiting for all you guys to follow suit now

Well, today is day 11 and I've not touched a cig in all that time. The cravings still come, especially right after work and in the evening. Doing ok though and pretty pleased I've made it this far. My flat mate smokes so it was really hard when he came back from holiday. He is thinking of quitting too, so that would make things easier. I've not had the major test of being in the pub yet though!

Does anyone know if hypnosis works? a mate of mine said his parents stopped after one session and never touched em scince. It was about fifty quid or something.

Giving up is easy, staying off them isn't!

Still off the cigs. If I get get through finding out my best mate has cancer and being dumped in the space of 24 hours, I can get through anything!!!
