It is nice to put a face to a name, however, you can see a picture of someone that's stunning, but maybe has no personality.

At least with the forum you can get to know people a little better in a more open environment as opposed to a 1 to 1 chat. I suppose at the end of the day it depends on what each individual is looking for in a prospective partner, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

I like to see a pic, not necessarily to see if they're good looking but just to see if they are 'my type'. I don't think its pretentious, just that, for example, I wouldn't have anything in common with a surfy guy. I would also be put off if someone was TOO good looking actually! lol, it all helps to assess a person anyway

Interesting comments bout photos what id like to know is how can you judge someone by a pic ??? when most of them are very poor photos ?? so if they have a good one they must be nice ??? why should you be judged on something as shallow as that , have met people before ( not on here yet ) an they have been nothing like their photo anyway !!!!! a photo will tell you nothing belive me lol lol lol
