I suck a talking to girls I dont know, or secretly like. I get shy and tounge twisted. I would like some advice on how to get a back bone. but no cheesy pick up lines please. tried that once and bad reaction.

From a male (or somewhat male) point of view, I wouldn't consider it a looserish but it helps to be confident.

Here's the thing... everyone is equal, so you shouldn't feel low talking to them. Even if you do talk all tongue-twisted like, still takes the confidence to approach the person.

So probably just continue trying, everything always become easier with experience.

Sorry if it doesn't help though :S

Best Regards,

p.s, I use to be shy as hell when I was younger! Smile

Being a cage fighter helps with my confidence.

Maybe you could become a cage fighter too?

I got a good idea....why don't we ALL become cage fighters? then we can all be confident in the knowledge we can all beat each other up! Rolling Eyes

You forgot to add that we can all learn how to treat women as shallow and insignificant too.

Not many people know this, but Mother Teresa was going to be a cage fighter. But the outdated sexist rules of the time prevented her from fulfilling her dream.

Just be yourself, I wouldn't be put off by a guy talking tongue twisted to me, and it's usually only a temporary thing with them anyway

I went to a wedding the other week, and there was one girl there who was LOVELY. And yes, you've guessed it, I felt like a shy little boy and could hardly chat properly to her. So I just got drunk and acted like a nob all night! Didn't get her number of course..... Not done yet though, I work with the groom and going to ask him to ask her when I see him again. The moral of this story? DO NOT attach leeches to your genitalia, it only makes the leeches bigger

Blakeah!

Be yourself, shyness is not as bad as you think, confidence is more of a problem! At least if you can chat to someone don't worry about about the dribbling rubbish you spout because the other person should understand that at some point you will come into yourself! I suffer from shyness too and after some thought i may just bow out of FB for a while as i have decided i must be a right minger!

Keep on Rocking Blake and all the rest of you!

Eccles. Get back here. We enjoy your company on here and would all miss you if you went.

Don't let the blues get to you, we all have those times. You're no minger and it's good to have some intelligence around. Keep on trucking mate, you'll get there in the end. I've been on various dating sites for years on and off so it's not going to happen overnight.

Ain't a case of being shy, you just need the mentality that if you want a girl to want you, you need to show them, girls don't go for shy guys because they don't know they exist fact! Best way is not to use some cheesy pickup line thats for the one nighters in my opinion, just meet as many people as possible, the more you know the better cos eventually you'll connect with someone and not even realize.

Maybe the best way to deal with the problem of talking, is to listen; we all know how women love to talk, just get her started and it'll have a calming effect when you get to know her better Wink

Erm.... yes they do.... I used to seek them out when I was younger (it's only different now because dating as an older person is not the same)even now I'm more likely to be attracted to a quieter guy apart from the crowd, than the guy who's the centre of attention.... Any other girls with me on this one or am I unusual too?
