What do people make of this?

well they banned pepper spray so no doubt the government wont allow it here.
I personally think that if a woman who is worried or nervous, it may provide some comfort for them.

My only major concern would be that some vengful women may use it inapropriately, to get revenge on men or to fit someone up.

I think this was probably one of the bits that stuck out most, if you cause someone who is likely unstable in the first place, an intense amount of pain. They will take it out on you, simple. Don't think they're exactly the best idea in the worl, not that rapists don't bloody deserve it. I just think they could end up doing more harm than good.

I do see why this device has been brought out. Having read and seen (on documentarys) what these women in 3rd world countries have been through then the more pain that these bloody rapists get the better........but as Kebabman says it may incite the rapist to then kill or harm their intended victim............but then again it should be a deterrant to these men as well. Gawd im so confused...is it a good idea or is it not???? I think im gonna sit on the fence on this one.

Considering how sensitive an erect penis is, i dare say the female would have plenty of time to get away.

The first thing this device would grab is the head of the penis probably, and then the shaft.... the rapist would get a massive initial shock from the unexpected pain, probably be crippled and bent over from it, and would then have to remove the device from his penis, as this thing is hooked and attached to it, if the rapist is stupid enough to remove it there and then with undue care he'll probably rip half the skin of his shaft away and half the nerve endings on the head, add the complete shock of the blood everywhere and what i could imagine as excrutiating pain, he wouldn't be fit for anything else much (if he's even capable of standing up) much less attack the woman.

I think the teeth on this thing are like the spikes for cars, grand if you drive in one way, but go against the spikes and your tires burst. The rapist wouldn't get this thing off him in a hurry.

id say the woman would have plenty of time to get away.
