well they banned pepper spray so no doubt the government wont allow it here.
I personally think that if a woman who is worried or nervous, it may provide some comfort for them.

My only major concern would be that some vengful women may use it inapropriately, to get revenge on men or to fit someone up.

i just did some research on this,

when raoex is "Activated" the barbs get stuck, and the device has to be surgically removed.

i think it's a great idea, and believe me, no guy would have the power to beat up a woman with one of those things attached to their member.

What would concern me is the women who would wear it for the sadist value.

For example, say your out at a nightclub, hook up with some girl, take her home and sleep with her, its mutual except shes either wearing one of these deliberatly or has forgotten to take it out, you'd pretty much be guaranteed a conviction then even if you were innocent.

On the flip side, i do think its an extremely good idea, plus the fact that it has to be surgically removed would make it extremely easy to catch rapists, the dna on the device from the woman would link it to her, and any hospital could just call up the police if a guy comes in asking for one to be removed.
