A US war veteran is suing film-maker Michael Moore for $85m (£45m), alleging TV clips of him were used without his consent in documentary Fahrenheit 9/11.

Did anyone watch his documentary? I'm more interested in him as a director, rather than an opinionated "visual activist", but his political intentions are fairly obvious.

Being from the UK, most of us like to steer clear of US politics (it's not like our system's perfect!) but which side are you on? I'm of the mind that the war was in the right intention, but led by the wrong person.

Michael Moore is a left wing liberal who is very uninformed regarding his opinions. You could take such people more seriously if they presented a fair and balanced argument but he does not, and no, not all right wingers do either.

I have done two tours in Afghanistan, kite flying was banned under the Taliban as with many other things, the tribal elders and most of the people especially the women are glad to be free from their oppression and see us as liberators, the fact that the Taliban want to take control again and oppress and take revenge on the people is surely enough reason as to why we should keep on fighting them. Most Afghans are good people and want to live quiet peaceful lives, its the fanatics who won't let them, its the irony of this world that the road to peace often passes through much turmoil and conflict.

But the war could go on forever. That means that there won't be any peace.

No war lasts forever, but there is a cancerous ideology that is fuelling this one and it will be a long haul process. It is my lifes mission to serve the world by terminating those who continue to cause such chaos and havoc.
