A US war veteran is suing film-maker Michael Moore for $85m (£45m), alleging TV clips of him were used without his consent in documentary Fahrenheit 9/11.
Did anyone watch his documentary? I'm more interested in him as a director, rather than an opinionated "visual activist", but his political intentions are fairly obvious.
Being from the UK, most of us like to steer clear of US politics (it's not like our system's perfect!) but which side are you on? I'm of the mind that the war was in the right intention, but led by the wrong person.

i saw the movie. being half canadian i tend to dislike the americans. well when i say dislike i mean totally hate. they all think they are the best at everything. so whens the last time they won the world cup? o wait when has england either? (1966) i think its about time england finally won. maybe this month.
well back to the movie. the only soldiers you see in the film are one that are not fighitng. just playing music and in a tank. they all spoke to the camera so how can a soldier sue some1 for using him without his consent when they willingly spoke to him and into the camera which he will know is being used for his docromentry.

Well it's all bunch of bs of sueing this guy and i haven't never seen movie and
you know here in Usa and it always some nut likes to sued anybody now these days.
And i'm person doesn't like bush very well and look how wars we are in.
And don't blame us and my uncle save your country during dday long time ago
and die at 70years old and he's buried in northern lake okeechobee in florida.
But if wasn't england here as today we wouldn't save your azzes from germans
during w1 w2.Well don't hate amercian people just hate our presdent of united states and he's like
a dark vader to our eyes.And i'll be glad in 2008 he leaves the white house.

I do remeber the one on subway over england i was
watching on cnn that day in nashville tn and on that day my grandmother almost die in hospital on that day
when england got blow up in subway during 2005 and hurrcaine dennis was hitting florida coast and i had head home
to ready for storm.Well i don't hate other people the way they are in life.
Well we have to have good friends in life we only have one world one planet of life and we all need get anlong
in life and when darktimes come one day we all need our friends from other counties to stand by us..
I only, bleived in freedom and god in trust and word under god to our flag!!
So i don't bleived every word bush say on tv no more and
he likes to lie alot and don't trust halftime the news media that tells you have time
and they like to make it look bad on people in life and talk drepressing crap.

and amercian people we love bill cintin alot and he's one put our country on track.

If America is so great, why don't they try and do something good for once? Like stopping a war instead of fucking starting one.
I do hate Bush, but i don't hate otherAmericans, to be honest, because i have no reason to. I hate what Bush has done by putting all the Americans to war.
Did America go to help countries like Latvia when the USSR and the Soviet Union was splitting up? Again, i doubt it.

first of all you need some english lessons. i thought americans knew grammer. if you was canadian i would say ok you may be french but americans tend to be all english.
second tony blair is just as bad as bush. ok he can wow people by his speeches big deal his speeches aint going ever happen unless war is in the sentence.
thirdly you say your gas prices are too high. i was in america last year $1 a litre thats nothing we pay $2+ dollars a litre over here. and which makes it worse you get it from us. that what i am pissed about. i go to canada every year so i know the current prices and all that. canadian prices and american are only slightly different.
your country loves to sue. look at those two fat girls who got fat because THEY CHOSE to go eat at mcdonalds every day. they tried sueing maccy d's because they sold them the food. so what they are there to make money not say old on a minute your fat i cant serve you, because if they did that then the girls would've sued them for discrimination. in your country you can not win. so no dont just hate bush hate the people who make america what it is. ok yes there are people in america that are kind feels the same way but love their country. but the bulk of you are behind bush, if not why did you vote hi.. oh no wait he cheated his way into presidency. if you seen fareinheit 9/11 then you probably would know that the only tv station to say that bush won the florida state was fox network, and because fo said it the biggest tv station over there it must be true. but wasn't bush's cousin some sort of management in the station then? you'll say no but im sure moore has all his facts right.
moore does good documentries. but comon if a own american citizen can say the truth about the wrong doing of the american goverment and expose it on to international television there has to be something wrong with your country.
america should pull all of its soldiers out of iaq get them out of afghan stop looking for bin laden your never going to find him. he probably dead already.
ok england has troops there bu the only reason why england are there is to keep america as allies. just look at france america and england turned on them when france refused to take part in the war and rightly so too.
you think your country was so great because you was on the winning side of both world war. let me get some facts straight.
1. america came into both world wars 2 years after it has started so you had the freshest team. TWO YEARS LATE what took you so long? had to go recruit people from malls and streets because no1 is willingly joining up because they know its not to save their country its just so you can rule the world.
2. in the first world war. germany was never actually defeated. they surrendered. ok u may say thats defeat. and in a way it is, but actually. germany was on the verge of victory due to england and allies only had 2 weeks of food left. if germany never had a revolution they would have won.
3. just because you was on the winning side dont make your country great. if you started from the beginning maybe it would.
4. you only sided with england because they had the biggest empire and ruled half the world.
5. and if you going the way your going america will end up starting world war 3. unless it has already started with the iraq situation.
oh and wait aint you after iran now because they suposedly have WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION CALLED NUCLEAR WEAPONS no its cuz they have oil you want it.
ok i never agreed to saddam and i salute you for taking him down. but it wasn't for that and you know it.
so all i am going to say to end this off.
AMERICA STOP BEING SO BIG HEADED. THINK BEFORE YOU DECLARE WAR. ACT ON FACTS NOT BUSH

Not really, i was being light hearted about the whole affair. Bush, the war, 911 and al queda have been dicussed time and time again - it's now boring.
