They usually say it when they want into your knickers early on in a relationship

I don't trust easy either, I don't say 'I love you' if I don't mean it but everytime I've said those three words in the past, I get taken for granted or messed about.
Sharksy has therefore banned himself from ever saying those '3 words of doom' again.

Hmm.. I've had this conversation before.. There needs to be a new set of "3 words" invented, that comes somewhere between "I like you" and "I love you"...
At the beginning of a relationship, there is so many strong emotions going on, and at the height of *whatever* you want to blurt out "God, I something you!!! Now, "like" is just lame during a moment of passion, so "love" tends to be the chosen word.. But it's one of those words you cant take back.. Once you've said it, you have to keep on saying it..
Someone please invent/suggest a new word quick!
(before tomorrow would be good!)

Actually it's pretty hard to trust anyone, not just guys. People are hard to trust (pmsl, what does that say bout me? Hihi)...
Anyways... Sayin what you don't mean... I can think of another thing, as we're on this subject... Have you ever had a date which went well but not well enough so at the end of it you realized nothin's gonna happen further and told the guy: "ok... see ya'round..." and he went like... "Yea, I'm gonna call you tomorrow" And you saying afterwards "Yea, nyways, see ya'round..." and him insisting "Nope, I'll be callin you tomorrow, alrite?" and him never calling??? What the feck is it with that? Someone told me it's male ego. So if you wanna beat them, you shouldn't be a nice girl and try to make it easy, just go like: You know wha, don't call me tomorrow, not the day after, not at Christmas, not next year. Ciao. |
I went on a date a few months ago, and she was like that, but never heard from her again, despite me being keen to meet her. That was all a bit odd, as we seeemd to get on quite well.

Because it is the one real attempt they will make at pleasing you by saying something they think you want to hear but don't at all mean. Sadly, it is the most important attempt they will make and the one which has the most gravity for the female species so they don't realize what the big deal about it is(men are physical plane drifters and women are mental plane drifters-and yes, I just made that up but it is true).
I like to believe actions speak louder than words so when someone says they love me, I just wait to see what they'll do about it. The good news is that nobody ever tells me so no waiting here on my part!! I guess it keeps me from having to do all the mental gymnastics-- which is good. Leaves room for other stuff..

The most awkward situation I've been in where the 'L' word is concerned was telling a guy I loved him and knowing he couldn't say it back.
I never expect the same in return and am quite happy to express my own feelings, just as if someone were to tell me they loved me, they mustn't expect me to always say it back.
It made the situation very uncomfortable. Thankfully, his actions spoke much louder than that one word.
Funny how losing me made him realise just how much he thought of me tho'

Thats happened to be today as well Tim.
Well i've found a better phrase than saying i'm in love with you. It's what happens to everyone in the first throws of a relationship and easier to say, plus there is a big chance that you'll mean it to:
I'm in LUST with you

Who is 'the Nookie' ? Is he like Yoda or something? An all seeing, all knowing golden bedpost with notches on it? |
Nookie used to be a bear - often seen with with a guy up its backside who would pretend to make him talk.
Other than that its love! Pure unadulterated, passionate, orgasmic, mind blowing...............oh sorry, got a bit carried away there.

I honestly think that it is because they had hoped to get something from you that they found out that you dont have or will not let go. For example, I know guys who talk to girls for love or money. After they get these they move on to another unsuspecting victims. Some just thought that you were M. Right and found out that you werent compatible and dont know how to impart that to us. Some guys are just not nice. |
All that can be applied to some women also
