Is it possible to be friends with an ex?

Depends on how the relationship ended really, in my opinion.

I think possible if the people in question can put the past behind them, but theres always the chance that one of them might still have something against the other, or one of them may still have feelings for the other.

It depends on you and the ex and the reason why it ended. I think if they hurt you bad its not possible. Sometimes it is after a certain period. Im best of friends with 1 of mine we have turned out best mates which is nice. None of us have any intrest getting back 2geth. But nice we have made friendship out of it.

Im friends with my ex. But only because he is my sons father. if it were not for that i would never talk to him again. in saying that tho we only talk about karl on the days he has him lol

Its nice to think you can. I have never not been mates with any ex. My last ex im finding it tough, but il keep the peace.

I actually like to at least try to be friends with ex's...unless they hurt me badly. Then i just totally cut them out of my life.

I'm not really friends with any ex's. It becomes awkward after that, plus most of the girls i've dated became ex's because they became a bit... odd.

I think you can be friends if you both realise that you were never meant to be together in the first place.

If either one of you were truly in love with the other then I think it always makes it difficult... like the one that was in love will always have hope.
