i know what you mean. i'm really gunshy because of guys who turned out to be real nasty liars. most recently with a guy i met online who seemed perfect then couldn't make up his mind how many kids he has. i suspect he might be married with/without kids. tired of getting burned

Not thats its a competition, but started dating, when I was 14 now almost 40. If I made a good choice ever it was a complete fluke, I can't remember it, and it didnt last.
But you know what? The next relationship I stay in for more than a week will be a good one. I've had a life of putting up with second best, and I guess at some point you have to stop and say enough is enough. I havent given up hope of finding somebody worthwhile. Infact the opposite. I know I will one day.

yup i left a posting that i would go to uk. my uncle was stationed in london during WWII met his wife Irene there, was shipped out, came back and they were married over 50 years before he passed away from cancer a few years ago. so you see i have a legit connection to england.. albeit a tenuous one
