After the most fantastic few days, I really do need to show off just a little......

1 month ago to the day I received a message from an FB user from The Isle of Man. "Wow, what a profile" and so on.....I got chatting to this user and communication with her was always very easy and natural. At the time I was about to start venturing out on dates with a member of another dating site, and was honest about this - I had to be.....

So - Messages, then e-mails, and then phone calls were bouncing backwards and forwards freely.....everything seemed so right with this person - was this just too good to be true? We knew we had to meet - we had already arranged to maybe meet up for a day or two in August, but the feelings were so strong we knew we could not wait that long to find out if we were just being ridiculous or whether we really were as compatible as it was appearing.

So - last Thursday, she flew down to see me for a few days. Careful safeguards were put in place - we both knew that what we were doing was completely idiotic and actually potentially dangerous, so many phone numbers and addressses, both work and home, were given to various people and Hotel rooms were at the ready in case we simply ended up hating eachother.....

.....and then we met. I picked her up at the airport - her photos on the site were clearly not doing her any justice at all.....I drove her to my home - all the time conversation was easy and mutual......and the silences were comfortale ones - most of the time!! We got to my home and the kettle went on - and we sat and chatted - and through this she was texting various people "I'm OK" and so on - the chatting got easier - and within a couple of hours not only did this feel right, it felt very, very special......by that evening it was like we had known eachother for many years and werer acting like an old married couple (we had to keep reminding ourselves that we had only met that day - however impossible it seemed).

The days followed, and neither of us could quite believe what was happening here - how could 2 complete strangers now be so close like this? We had no idea - but the motto for the week was "What's That All About?????" - we just didn't know. By the end of the second day - it was becoming clearer - it was about love, and about 2 people being so perfectly matched it was untrue.

The days that followed just got better - we were now so in-tune with eachother that it was getting silly! We relaxed, we played, we had fun, we went out, everything was perfect - just absolutely natural and completely perfect....but the time was drawing near for her to go home, and the sadness set in....

.....but not for long - driving her back to the airport was a pleasant journey, and we laughed and joked about everything - it was like I was just dropping her off to go on a business trip or something - not dropping her of to go home - since I was going to be with her soon anyway. We knew that this was the start of something too fantastic for words - why let "going home" get in the way of everything??

In the departure lounge it was difficult to hold the tears back - this was a true soul-mate that I was saying goodbye too - but it was that kind of "Happy-Sad" that is, in someways, a more comforting feeling. We had already told eachother of the love that we felt for eachother....but as I kissed her goodbye before she walked through that gate and looked into her eyes - I told her again...."I Love You"......and she knew....."I Love You Too", came the reply........this was it - the perfect woman.....and the start of the most amazing journey......and the joining of 2 hearts that were always meant to be together......

Thank you, Flirtbox!!!!

Aaaw, bless.

Sounds very good for you two. I found myself with a very similar tale to tell about my last girlfriend, but sadly it didn't work out (but it was a very very good 6 months!), sure hope it works out long term, assuming that is what you both want.

Lonelysods story is my story too. I am now his extremely proud 'other half' and every word he has said in that posting is absolutely true.

I think i can speak for him as well when i say we're now hoping that this is the beginning of the rest of our lives, it certainly feels that way.

I love him to bits and his photos don't do him justice either!! He's gorgeous.Sorry girls but you missed out on this one!!! Very Happy
He's also kind, caring, sensitive, honest, extremely genuine and romantic. Perfect!

Like he said everything was so wonderful it really was 'Whats that all about???' and that is still carrying on today especially since one of our airlines has announced that it will be flying directly to Gloucester! Another sign?? Hmmm.

So i'll also say thanks to Flirtbox. He's all i need.

Did nobody else read through this waiting for the bit that said '...and it turned out she was a man.'? No? Oh well. Just me then.

Congratulations the pair of you.
