Been thinking about this for a while, trying to be honest with myself would like some imput? I have trawled through threads can't see something that I could have added this if i have missed one sorry?
Whats your take on this between two people which of these statements do you believe is right try not to sit on wall by saying both thats cheating
Lust then love or Friendship and then love both leading to a sexual relationship not just friendship hope this makes some sense to someone

friendship then love...
lusting is just imagining for short period what you would like to happen, and wishing for a certain out come, played out in your own mind..
Friendship is finding out about the person, not just imagining what they are like, but really discovering the true them, and understanding whats in their mind also..
therefore, building stronger foundations for any type of relationship to continue..

Ok well being a blonde! it took me a couple of times to get what i think you were trying to say!
I am in no doubt that friendship should come first and built upon, in hope that love follows the natural progression. All to often lust can be confused for love even when the relationship becomes sexual. Often confusing sexual compatibility with real true deep feelings.

well it is said that the stages are
1) lust
2) Attraction
3) Attachment
Biochemically speaking..lol
Lust is driven by the sex hormones testosterone and oestrogen..
Attraction is the truly love-struck phase..here Dopamine, Norephiephrine (adrenalin) and serotonin are released..serotonin is the most important here and the one that can send us temporarily insane...(events occuring in the brain when in love have similarities with mental illness)
Attachment stage is when relationship will last...and involves two hormones being released..Oxytin (released by both sexes during orgasm and promotes bonding) and vasopressin..
omg..i really must get out more..lol

I was going to post something like this along these lines..v. interesting though, all of are feelings are controlled by neuro-transmitters in the brain, so right about the similarities between being slightly mentally ill & being in love, imbalances in dopamine levels is the main cause for schizophrenia & depletion of serotonin levels is the cause of depressive/psychosis type illnesses, the drug ecstasy (in a hugely amplified way) effects the serotonin uptake receptors & is called the 'love drug' as slang & cocaine effects exactly the same chemical receptors in the brain as when your in love (dopamine), I find it strange though that prozac works on exactly the same chemical in the brain as does xtc (serotonin), & one is legal & prescribed to people like giving out smarties but thats another thread. brave new world??
