Why is it..that..whenever I meet a guy, they always just want to stay friends? or just don't want a relationship with me?
Is it because I can only be seen as one of the guys?
Or is it the fact that I'm just not somebody that others can have a relationship with?
I don't think there's anything wrong with me. I have been single for a year in february, and to be honest, it's really getting to me.
I have met a couple of guys - but...they just wanted to be friends. Or they didn't want to date me for whatever reason.
This may sound like a bit of a rant - but...it really isn't. It's something I'm really wondering about.

Tough question to answer Laura for someone who doesn’t know you well enough on a personal level, ..although I very much doubt there is anything wrong with you. It’s been my experience that few people these days actually want a relationship as its much easier to get the “quick fix” rather than commit to someone .
I do believe these is someone out there for everyone though so I wouldn’t give up hope just yet. You’re a pretty girl so if those guys just want to be friends then it’s their loss. Kiss a few more frogs and see what happens

You are right..It is difficult to answer without knowing me very well on a personal level...And..thank you. Fairly good advice there.

I have the same problem Laura, i'm always seen as one of the boys for some strange reason. I mean, i don't look like a fella....honest!
Perhaps i'm not girly enough? I don't flutter my eyelashes and become all helpless when a light bulb or a fuse blows.
Maybe we'll never know........
28.01.2008, 20:04 quote
Yeah. Well..at least I'm not the only one with the problem
Makes me feel a little better.
Personality wise - I'm a football-and-beer-loving type of woman. But..I also love my shopping and make up etc!
Maybe that's what's putting guys off?! Maybe I should start getting my boobs out more, wear shorter skirts, bleach my hair blonde and act like a bimbo - that usually gets some attention, at least!
Seriously, though. I'm not a girly girl - and never will be. I'm destined to be 'one of the lads' for life, I think!

Laura your an extremely beautiful woman and changing your image wouldn't change anything. If a man cant see you for who you are on the inside as well as the outside then there the fools babe. Us women have to stick together.
I have never ever thought i was attractive til recently, men have never asked me out as im a tomboy, one of the lads, up for a laugh and therefore not a girlfriend. I have always come onto men and its always been fine but recently ive been doing more for myself making an effort and thinking im attractive and ive had so many men ask me out ive lost count, its a mental thing, when you can walk around head high and say this is me and im beautiful just how i am then you'll get the dates i promise.
Dont change a thing your perfect just as you are.

I do have confidence...but not enough, I guess.
I don't think I'm ugly, but..I don't think I'm anything special, either.
Thanks for the advice, Nixy
