Well, I tried to post a few pics of my artwork from my new flickr account, but I couldn't get it to work If anyone can tell me how to post an image here, I'd greatly appreciate it!
Here is the link to the pics, if anyone wants to check it out:

If you're using firefox then you can right-click on an image and choose "copy image location". If you're using IE or something else, then I don't know the answer. It's been so long since I used IE and I don't have access to it.

Hello all. I'm a newb to the forum but thought I'd share a few of my favourite pieces.
I'm a ceramicist.
These were from a project on the body. We had life models in. A really thin lady one week, and a rather large lady the second week. We did really quick 5-10 minute studies throughout the day, using differant types of clay and differant methods, just to get used to sculpting from eye, as apposed to making from just whats inside your head. The colours on them you see are differant oxides. Just experiments to see what differant combinations come out like on differant types of clay.
This is from my final major project. These (I had 40 in the end!) were made from porcellain. The bodies were slip cast, and the wings were made from dribbling porcelain onto a paper towel, then waiting until it was dry enough to peel off and oh so very carefully attach to the vessel. I must have made about 100 wings in the end the amount I broke!
They are loosely based on dragonflys and work with the concept of the fragility of wings.
When you pick up a dragonfly or a butterfly you dont want to touch the wings unless you break them. So what do you do when proposed with a vessel where the handles are the wings?
There were 40 of these hanging from a grid in the cieling for my exhibition, ranging from little larve ones to 'adolesant' ones, to the huge ones with the wings and the dead ones, aka happy accidents!
Waffled on a bit there, sorry. I'm not really one for 'pretty' art. I like to have a concept behind most of my pieces, and usually it means lots of explaining. I like people to know whats gone on inside my head (however confusing it may be!) when they look at my work.
I hope you guys like them.
