Has anyone got any advice on how to sell your work? I havent been able to shift a thing!

'That's the last time I go out with a roll of carpet on my arm!'

'This'll be perfect for the Lounge'

'How many people do you know, who've had an arm broken by a swan?'

allow me to dig up an old thread and post my own work:

Collaboration with a friend; the moon has pure silver inlay with mother of pearl, the upper part of the mask crusted with moonstone.

Large ivy leaf pendant. And I do mean large, I don't do small pieces. All my work is of organic forms; I use real flowers, leaves, seed pods, twigs and so on to create my work. It's a bit of (expensive) learning process as I never know what's going to happen till it's done. Alchemy in every sense of the word; start with clay, end with precious metal. [/img]

Well a few things are getting showcased by friends at the Dark Masquerade Ball, and then there's Whitby, where I'll be offering a jewelry cleaning service as well as some of my pieces. I've also been turned onto a competition for silverworking which has some good prizes (and better yet, publicity). It's just difficult to find the time to work with all my other responsibilities.

So next on my mission is learning how to do some molding for some lost wax experimentation and then we'll see.

I say that about everything. I can't draw for beans. I'm sure whatever you do for a living seems like boring "just doing my job" stuff, but chances are I've never heard of it and would find it fascinating.

The only difference for me is people don't pay artists heh...we do what we love but apparently you're not supposed to get paid for that! Oh well, it'll happen.

Thanks, let's keep the thread alive.

I love this thread! So many great and different pieces of art. I wish I could put up some of my pieces on here, but I don't have them on a website or with me to take pics of them- I'd love to be able to get some feedback on my pics from someone other than my professor or my mom, lol Very Happy
