I think its pretty divided if you like them or not, in my opinion the ones mean something to you personally are always the best..

so why did you get yours? job, hobby, family or just because you liked the look?

I have quite a few. It's more just part of a lifestyle for me, I'm an apprenticing tattooist.

However, before i was doing that I already had a lot of coverage. A few of them have special meanings to me, but most of them reflect my personality really.

it was back in late 2003 when i decided to quit drugs (m clean since then) and mark a day with something i never did before.. so i made a tattoo on my right calve with surgical needle and fabric paint, on my own..(not a good idea i knw) that was the last time i did everything at once and thank God i didnt o/d. lol
its nt a neat work thou but its the feeling behind it that never makes me regret it. infact one of my prized and boasted abt possession.. very near to my heart. got few more ideas that.. i always like a story to tell for every tattoo..
p.s. oh btw its supposed to be a barbed wire with a pentagram..

I had mine done a significant points in my life, I've got 3 and they are all pretty girlie and cute and i love em. Love the artwork and precision envolved.

i am doing my dissertation on why people get tattoos..
i have one myself and i love it, it makes me smile everytime i see it.

my fav tattoo i got one year ago, i had a dream of a few years ago,and when i was out shopping i just had a urge to get a tattoo, i have three tatts all together, my fav is my own lips which i had tattooed onto my chest . my others are a small tribal design on my right wrist and a star design on my left wrist.

im quite covered and all of mine are mainly for decoration

i blame shows like LA ink etc. for making people think they need reasons for wanting to get tattoos

I've amassed quite a collection of them over the years. I get them when something has happened in my life thats had a big effect on me. I feel that if I have changed on the inside, the outside should reflect that.

I first tried once, a little circle on my left arm. as I was good at drawing and piercing ,I said:"why not tatoos??"
so,improvised a pencil with a needle and natural drawing paint, and did a little circle
then few days later,I marked a little drawing on my left shoulder,is called "the rose of the winds",in romanian,is like a star,with 4 corners,and other smaller 4. each of them,are half filled with colour, half skin's colour.
I started,did few lines, then the guards came in. I never finish'it .

ive got 32 or 33 tats, i forget lol. had a new one today of a singer im into. ive got lots of tats on my arms, back, chest, stomach and other areas. spent a lot on them and gonna have more. the styles are tribal, portrait, my own designs and more. been to studios in north and south, id recommend you try them but google them 1st i imagine most have websites. ok then...

i got them coz i just love tattoos but more generally coz i love music so ive got images of singers i like, song lyrics and band names plus other images i find pleasing to my eye. ill neve rhave a gals name im involved with coz romance can end. but im really into tats and only have them coz i like the image i chose upon.

personally, it has taken me a long time to get my first design in order, mainly because i wanted something completely original, nothing from a book.

added to the fact i draw like an epilectic spider, getting what i want, down on paper is pretty hard to do.

found an artist i can work with, and that will do some freehand working from dodgy sketches, my memorial tatt with finally get started this weekend (hopfully).

The second and third, which join, is of my choosing and has my girls initials in it and i love it. It isnt finished yet either, it doesnt come up to the knee yet, however it will one day come over my shoulder

got mine last year. i got a treble clef and a bass clef of my wrists. they are pretty small but mean a lot to me. im trying to design a sleeve for my right arm. but its a bit of a big project and i cant draw to save my life so it may take a while. haha. anyone got any large tattoos?
