I guess this goes here?
So, anyone do it? I'll kick off by listing my gear because I'm boring and can't think of a better thing to start it with.
Minolta Dynax 5
Minolta SR1
Minolta SRT 101 (broken)
Minolta SRT 101
Minolta SRT 303
Polaroid 320 Automatic
Holga 120 N
Holga 120 FN
Minolta DiMAGE Z10
Durst M605 Colour (enlarger)
Jobo Duo Lab (processor)
Oh, and does anyone know where to get C41 chemicals from? The lcoal shops around here can't get me some.

I dont have any fancy gear, but Im a keen photographer, and would be even keener if I could afford fancy gear.
I tend to shoot B&W at obscure angles (will post pics later), I also like to shoot facial expressions, Id like to do a gallery exhibition of facial expressions of ages 1 to 100 yrs old. Again in B&W.

i used to be into it, i had my photos published in a fashion and music magazine called disorder, disordermagazine.com but i got rid of my gear about 3 years ago as id lost interest. i used to have a olympus om2 spot program, olympus om10 and a lubitel 166 medium format tlr. i had loads of other stuff, tripods, filters, darkroom kit, flash accessories etc but now i just have a digital camera, nothing fancy, a fuji one that ive had for about 3 years.
i used to go to live gigs in london (camden, islington etc) and photograph indie/rock bands before performing, during and after the performance. it was good fun and i got some great shots for my own private portfolio
i dunno if Mr Cad sells c41 stuff, its local to me and its where i used to go to buy gear, might e worth a look http://mrcad.co.uk/shop/home.php

i always worked best in B+W i think the fact that i developed my own film and printed it as well helped cos you get to know how your shots will turn out much better. my gear wasnt fancy, in fact it was quite a basic camera i had, the om2, but i managed to get some good shots out of it here n there. i did once shoot some experiment rolls, like i shot colour film and processed it as slide film and shot slide film and processed it as colour print film. even tried black n white infa red film, that was quite nice.
ive got a scanner with a negative/slide attachment now so one day i will have to spend a weekend scanning slides and negatives as some of my stuff didnt get past the printing of contact sheets stage
your idea of 1 to 100 ages sounds good, can i nick that and enter it into the turner prize?

You're dead right about not needing expensive gear. I had to jump on someone recently when he advised someone else that unless he spent £1500 on a DSLR and another £1000 on a lens his photos wouldn't be very good. His reasoning was that "pros use that sort of thing". Safe to say I managed to shoot his argument down in flames with ease.
The most fun I had was with an old digtal (2001?) and a reversed 50mm lens. I'll post one result below. It's not going to win prizes but I was still impressed by the results as I was learning and experimenting. The little guy was smaller than the nail on my little finger.
scottie - I can't find any on Mr Cad. Actually the only palce I have found some is Jessops but my local (non-Jessops) shop told me that chemical is no longer made. I've not contacted Jessops yet (I'm not a huge fan of theirs) because I'm not in a huge hurry. I just have some 120 rolls of c-41 film to develop.

I have a horrible shot of a fly with his tongue out somewhere. Again, one of the easly tests with the reversed lens. I'll see if I can find it later.
