Those pic really really will give me nightmares....
The tatoo itsself looks nice... Would prefere it as a T-shirt print though.... but how can one do THAT?!?!?

First of all, it's not a tattoo. The procedure is called scarification. The skin is literally cut away with a scalpel.

The desired effect is to be left with a scar, to do so, once the scarification has been performed, the wound needs to be irritated. I've known people have this done (not on such a large scale-she's got balls!). The irritation is often done with things like lemon juice, toothbrush, rough flannel etc


Personally, I'm not a fan of scarification, in my opinion, if you want a pretty design on your body, get it tattooed! (being in the industry, I'm somewhat bias)

I bet she couldnt move for days. It doesn't even look nice in the end. must be a huge skin cancer risk in later years seeing as scars are high cancer risk.
