Shame to see such an enjoyable franchise take such a nose-dive in quality. Did the actors even want to be there? Rachel Weisz had the right idea and stayed away. Poor Maria Bello and Brendan Fraser just didn’t have the chemistry (or the accent in Maria’s case). Jet Li was barely in it enough to be an effective baddie. Alex O’Connell looked more like his father’s younger brother than his son and Brendan Fraser just seemed to mumble all the way through.

This film would only really appeal to very young children who haven’t seen the other two (or possibly any other action film aimed at families).
