Hey

Anyone seen this film yet and got an opinion on it. Do you think it was better than the novel?

I haven't read the novel but the movie is good.

It's much better than the Da Vinci code... But it's somewhat blown out of proportion and more of a blockbuster.

Ewan McGregor plays a great part as the Camerlengo.

I do believe though that for Angels and demons, as well as for the Da Vinci code, they should've picked someone else instead of Tom Hanks. The guy just steals the light from the book.

As for the movie itself... It's quite a block buster. It's filmed in a very alert and spectacular way and there's not one minute you'll be bored. But there'll be minutes when you'll say WTF... Ain't this just a bit too much? Maybe more than a bit? Smile

You should see it though. It's cool. Worth watching definitely.

Dan Brown is the only authour ive like ever read and it must be said despite the 'blockbuster'ness of the film the book far outclasses it, granted the film is actually very good even as I watched I tried not to think of the book and in that sense on it's own it is still very good, but the book is far better Smile.

The start of the film is way different to the book to Sad as is a few other aspects within the film, oh well still very watchable...

As for McGregor as the Carmelengo, I didn't think he was that good I like McGregor, loved him in Moulin Rouge, but just didn't seem to fit his role in this one lol his face is simply to innocent maybes I don't know. As for Tom Hanks as Langdon a good choice, although I personally think the guy who played the scientist in the Core and two Face in Batman: The Dark Knight would have been a much smarter choice.

Then again I'm not exactly a talent scout

I thought da vinci code was rubbish. Angels and Demons is much better.

I haven't read any of the books, am just judging the films on merit.

Just seen Slum Dog Millionaire which is Brilliant.

xxx.
