Seeing as every vaguely profitable film of the seventies has been remade and it seems that the eighties are currently being wrung dry, what do people think the first nineties film to get a remake will be?

It wouldn’t surprise me if a couple have already been done and I’ve just missed them.

Hmm, methinks it's happened or is the process of happening...but I can't remember what is it? Ah that's it the Bodyguard...it's a comin. Usually there's some edge to the original (The Producers, Assault on Precinct 13, Hairspray etc), but in this case god it's fluff.

Though you could say that remakes happen continually with the USA remaking films from overseas.

A reboot of 'The Crow' has already been announced. Check it out on IMDB, its listed as 2011.

At first I thought it was a bad idea. The original was excellant, and Brandon Lee great in the title role.

Then I saw the sequels.

If we can get a film to drive the memory of them from my head, then great Very Happy

Yup, you're right - I knew there had to be one Mad

And a reboot of the Crow would be terrible (no matter how bad the sequels were)

The powers that be better not think about re making any of the following 80s films:

Planes, trains and automobiles
Brewster's Millions
Back to the Future
Ghostbusters
Coming to America

Wouldn't mind seeing a remake of 1984.. although there are plenty of rip offs (Equilibrium & Minority Report come to mind).

It's been announced recently that Total Recall is going to be remade.

Yeah, I've just heard about that one - who could possibly replace Arnie? An actor perhaps?
