I absolutely loved sharpe. I own them all on dvd & video. I have a little obsession. But you could tell that Bernard Cornwall didn't have much to do with the latest one.

Boromir wasn't evil, he was just more easily corrupted by the ring. As Aragorn pointed out - the same would have happened to him had he not let Frodo go. Bormoir didn't take the ring when he had the chance, he realised what he was doing and sent Frodo away then died a heroes death.

He wasn't dodgy either, he just lived a life of war against unrelenting foes and sought to free the fate of his people.

Ok, i was wrong(bloody hell..a woman admitting she's wrong!)

He did seem a little evil, though. But now you've pointed out the good things..i guess it's not so bad.

Sharpe is great, I have all of them but the latest one. The ending of Sharpe's Waterloo where Wellington turns to camera and says "Go get 'em Sharpe" is classic.

Oh and my apologies for being right Wink

Nah, like with most things, they would take it too far and ruin it. It would have been nice had they set some more during the peninsular wars - the ones in Spain and Portugal were the best.

And sliding back onto topic Embarassed

I voted Gandalf, throughout the whole series he was my favourite - paticularly in the battle of minis tirith were he was fighting with sword and staff against the orcs.

Very Happy Aragorn was best part in every lord of ring moive and he was best sword knight fighter in whole entire moive and even lord of rings 3 he was best in moive, and my mom likes ranger for best show and he did a great part in whole moive.

Plus my fav part in lord of rings 3 was the knight woman when she knock down one of ring barrers in dark evil capes on his monster dragon and woman said:I'm not a man. Very Happy That was one best parts of whole moive and that means:don't mess with woman when she mad as hell!! Very Happy Smile

Plus i owned all three lord of rings moives on dvd here at house here... Smile

I have to admit though, that unfortunately I am not a fan of LotR, this may perhaps not be the best place to be posting this (hehe as i may be executed) but its true. Hence why I pretty much only know of Legolas and Boromir Very Happy

Aragorn is my favourite. His characteristics was one of the greatest in my opinion. Elves are moving to another realm, everyone else is being hidden from world(hobbits) or extinct (dwarfs) and the dominion of man is beginning to inherit middle earth. Aragorn represented man and what a man....King of Kings. Plus he resisted the ring the easiest among all that was offered it (Gandalf, Galadriel(Elf Queen, etc).

Gandalf second
and third Gollum/Smeagol
