I am not into the FPS or action games. I like the RPG's and games like Dreamfall.

What do you play?

I don't have the dexterity for these new fangled shoot 'em up games. I still play the original DukeNukem, Doom and Wolfenstein3d.
Oh yeah I just got vista and its got some cracking Mahjong games on it.
I love having a go on my kids' PS3 racing games but I am rubbish and just crash into things going round in circles.
I used to have an F-16 flying game, but lost it when I changed OS years ago.

I don't really play games much any more but when I do my favourite kind is the horror-themed role-playing/action type adventure game such as the Resident Evil series, Silent Hill, etc. That sort of thing. One of my favourite games was Grim Fandango, it's old now, but still a great game if you haven't played it before.

I have at one time or another played all these games.

If you missed Duke Nukem or Doom then you have no idea that todays games are based on them. Hexen was a favorite of mine as well.

The Tomb Raider game was responsible for me getting into computer games. I own all of the Tomb Raider games now. I did play Resident Evil and some sequels on the PS1 though. Nothing like survival horror to scare the crap out of you. Silent Hill was good for this. Really tricky camera angles, only little light to work with, and monsters that jump out at you.

I play Dark Messiah now from Ubisoft and can't wait for Assasin for come out.
Silent Hunter the sub game is nice as well.

I am a big flight sim enthusiast. Particular the combat variety. IL 10, Fighter Ace, European Air War, Janes WW2 Fighers and Falcon 4. Lets not forget Janes USAF. If you want some eye candy then play USAF.

I still remember the tubthumper song on FIFA 99.

I have a Saitek Evo Wireless joystick but dont use rudder pedals.

So you like the driving games?

Only ones i played that involved a car was Gran Tourismo. That was addictive. First you had to get a license to drive and then get all the parts all the while you are racing to earn money.

Grand Theft Auto lol

Darn you just reminded me that i forgot to save Hexen before getting vista! I read in a book about how marketing terms come about - The Halo Effect is the product that all other products try to eminate (coca cola, kleenex etc) It's called this because the game Halo is considered THE GAME that all others of that genre now are created around/from....i cant comment cuz i've never played it.

I play Dark Messiah aswell, but my pc has trouble holding it up Crying or Very sad These ubi ports realy are dreadful, i wouldnt hold your breath too much on assassins, specially with the system requirements being out of this world.

Unlike everyone else i am a big fan of fps, gotta love call of duty

Talking of flight sims, the most fun one I can remember was donkey's years ago when I had my Amiga 1200! Me and my brother used to play this game called "Knights of the Sky" which was a flight-sim/combat game featuring old planes like Sopwith Camels and old biplanes, etc. It was absolutely hilarious, we used to sit playing it for hours in fits of laughter.

Another great one from the Amiga days was "Striker", a brilliant football game, we used to get loads of mates round and have championships on it. Great fun.

I was an Asherons Crack addict for a few years (Asherons Call). I am trying to get back into another MMORPG but cant seem to find one that i want to get into. I dont want to walk into an already established game with tons of level 200's that will squish you like a grape with one hand though. Was thinking about LOTR. Maybe i will try guild wars as there is no monthly subscription attached.
