If thats Vista you've got, its not compatible with your old printer.

Odd Epson think it is on their website.

You will need the Vista version of the drivers Dowen which is available on their website if you haven't already got that.

Not sure the link will work but if so this is the driver.

Bugger. A few months back Epsom said "Currently no drivers available for Vista". Sad
Finally got their act together then!

For that one printer anyway. Laughing

Says the driver is from January 08.

Bet there are loads of printers they haven't done though.

I was about to link to the same driver Smile

The C42 + has drivers for both Vista and Vista x64 and works under all versions of Vista.

I think (stress, think) that most (if not all) of the C Series printers use the same Epson driver/utility software under Vista.

It’s almost definitely something other than an incompatibility issue, but without seeing the computer it would be difficult to pinpoint the reason it is not printing.

Unless Vista let a version of the driver for an older version of Windows install, but which doesn't actually work. Confused

My particular Lexmark all-in-one printer is incompatable with Vista too, and their web support told me there was nothing that could be downloaded to alter that fact, so I've also got to get a different printer aswell now.
It's so annoying because it prints really well and I'm not really ready for changing it, but now I've got no choice Sad

Go back to whoever you bought the computer off and get them to put XP on instead. It'll probably cost as much and you'll be much happier for it Smile

I believe that laptops with vista are not compatible for xp.

Vista Sucks.

I use xp pro, it wasn't easy finding a lap top with it still, yet here I am. With XpPro which in my honest opinion, XP-PRO is far superior than that crap called vista.

Vista sucks.
