i had the same problem when i had a belkin router. i got so fed up i went to pc world and changed it for a linksys. never had problems with linksys so i will swear by them. my advice stay away from belkin and if poss go take it back.

unless other people can tell you how to fix the problem of course.

Just a question I presume the router is plugged into your computer via the LAN port? If so have you swoppped your internet settings to connect via LAN?

In internet options under the Connections tab it should be set to "Never dial a connection" and then the LAN to "Automatically Detect Settings" because your router is always connected.

yeah all my settings are correct..

ive took my router back but could only get a d-link one as im on cable and all the others are for tel lines..
ive also sent my laptop back t get fixed and they cant see a prob with it all..

i can get the internet but it keeps crashing.. so i guess im gonna have to live with it..

I bought a Linksys router from Tesco and it has worked perfectly ever since I bought it and no lost internet connections. Only thing I would say against it is the power transformer has a buzz which can get a bit annoying if you have the router in your bedroom.

Hope you havent gone and got what they tell you to get...i worked for that company for 2 years, the only reason netgear is supported is because thats what the guys at AOL have on their computer. Belkin are very reliable and i have setup plenty of networks with them.

if you give me a bit more of the problem i will try and help over here.
