Home >> Computers Hardware&Software >> limewire n windows media player?
18.03.2007, 12:49 quote
i recently found limewire site and downloading allsorts but some of th codecs used wont play on media player why is this any ideas and can it be sorted?

Mediaplayer doesn't come as standard with every codec. Downloading the latest media player will help but you still might need extra codecs. Quite a bit of the torrent stuff has the codec or a link to it included so check all the files you downloaded (virus check first, of course). Failing that google for 'codec pack' and you should find a bundle of the most common codecs. Hope that helps.

go to www.divx.com
download and install last version of divx codec.
i guess your problem is you dont have dixv codec installed in your computer.

also be very careful with limewire as some of the files have virus's in them, so scan it before you open it
