reasonably close i used to have a line problem which bt eventually replaced but my bras profile was stuck on about 4.5mbit. seems like they've eventually upped it.

entanet is an isp that resells thru other fronts. im on UKFSN (uk free software network) others are vivaciti and ADSL24

they dont shape traffic but on each bt central (fat pipe to isps) there's a threshold and when its reached they lower the speed on all connections thru it down to a minimum of 2mb. they cap but have offpeak times the same as BT. the offpeak cap per month is about 300gb!
Generally I havent noticed the effects of the threshold reductions.

Not bad for Sky LLU BB at £10 per month - and I'm regularly doing 500gb+ per month downloading without any hassle yet (7 months and counting....)

Ohh - just got a bit better again using the London not Maidenhead pyramid

Connection is rated as 16mb and can saturate all day & night from binaries at that.

£10 a month!
