Football has evolved, we use an egg shaped ball these days.

Rugby isn't too bad, i guess.

Was he ever that good anyway....... I think not, could be verbally abusive. Oh yeah forgot he could put the boot in every now and again

He was, without a doubt, man uniteds best RECENT player.

Some may disagree, but that's how i saw it.

He's probably better than you realise. I remember going to old trafford and HE was the one keeping the team in order.

Roy Keane would cry like a baby if he got hit by Paul Sculthorpe or Kieron Cunningham

its no surprise to be honest, although he won the double at celtic he didnt really play that well or fit in and he kept sayin he was unsure about stayin another year even though he was contracted to.

i never really liked his style of play, far too brutal and verbal and although he represents man utds glory days he also sums up a lot of why people dont like man utd. And i think makelele is a far better defensive midfielder.

but he was a good player at his peak.

How can you say Makelele is better?! I've never rated him.
Yes Keano was brutal, and verbal(to say the least...) but that's what made him so great. He was never scared to tackle(and sometimes did when it wasn't needed.)

Maybe i'm being a little biased. But i remember seeing him play for Nottingham Forest a long time ago(i would have been quite young) and from what i can remember, he was great.

Probably, but they are rugby players, not footballers.

It just makes me laugh when they go down after a tap on the ankle and do 1000 rolls and scream in agony.

Yeah, i agree some players do go down like they've been shot.

(and i'm normally the one shouting obsenities at the t.v because of it...or at an actual game.)

Its like a tackle I seen at saints vs wigan a few weeks back. One of our players did a massive and I mean massive even for rugby standards, the wigan player was a bit dazed but got straight back up and played the ball.

The last rugby game i watched there were a few rough tackles and stuff. I was like 'ouch' on their behalf! And they got up and just carried on running! Pretty amazing stuff.

Yea the fitness and stamina is second to none. And their toughness. Derby games are the best, I watch all the seasons rugby games no matter who plays. Makes me wonder how they get out of bed the next day lol.
