Yea the fitness and stamina is second to none. And their toughness. Derby games are the best, I watch all the seasons rugby games no matter who plays. Makes me wonder how they get out of bed the next day lol.

its no surprise to be honest, although he won the double at celtic he didnt really play that well or fit in and he kept sayin he was unsure about stayin another year even though he was contracted to.

i never really liked his style of play, far too brutal and verbal and although he represents man utds glory days he also sums up a lot of why people dont like man utd. And i think makelele is a far better defensive midfielder.

but he was a good player at his peak.

How can you say Makelele is better?! I've never rated him.
Yes Keano was brutal, and verbal(to say the least...) but that's what made him so great. He was never scared to tackle(and sometimes did when it wasn't needed.)

Maybe i'm being a little biased. But i remember seeing him play for Nottingham Forest a long time ago(i would have been quite young) and from what i can remember, he was great.

well makelele manages to make tackles cleanly and fairly and rarely lets his side down. while hes not as physical as keane, his all round style and skill makes him a better player.

Roy Keane has more skill than Makelele. Makelele comes off as a bit of a wimp, to me.

more skill? sorry cant agree with that lol.

i just think makelele can do everything that keane did without being brutal or verbal. so hes more of a footbaler than keane.

Makelele doesn't have that power thing. Keano does.

Keano could lift the team in a second. Makelele can't. Don't get me wrong, Mak is good..just not great.

Makelele wouldn't have the same fear factor or leadership qualities that Keano had. Roy Keane is a competitve winner with an indomnitable spirit. Can't wait to see him get into management now.

Well let me try and make this clear cause i think people are misundestanding me.
Obviously makelele doesnt match keanes leadership and hardman qualities but hes certainly more of a genuinely skillful football player.

Its keanes brutal style and what he deliberately did to that man city player (when he intentionally broke his leg and pretty much ruined the guys career) that i cant forget.
I understand why man utd fans praise him but its important to not forget his bad side.

I think Keano had more skill, too.

It was wrong what Keane did, and i did think badly of him for a while after that, but then i remembered what a great player he was. Even I admit that some of his tackles were a bit full on, but at least he wasn't afraid to do that for his team, instead of pussyfooting around trying to play pretty football.
