Maybe a bit of a surprise, but has been a good champion.

hey...he's quitting while he's ahead - undefeated, it's the best way. I'd rather that than him ending up going through a series of fights when he's gonna get older and slower, probably getting hurt fighting just for the money.

All my friends are saying he took the cowards way out - I know that our Nottingham lad, Carl Froch, wanted to fight him...
Yep, would have been worried about Joe in that one!

He will be back. I give him 4 years and then he will be back. Great fighter though.

I might be an old cynic, but I think some women mainly watch Calzaghe because of his looks and physique, rather then his boxing attributes. I'm sure you dont
btw, I watch women's beach volleyball purely because of the skill factor

I'll be honest - I do have a bit of a perve over Calzaghe - but I also appreciate the fact that he is a good boxer.
I like boxing in general and Joe being rather good looking is just an added bonus

He's a smart man he knows there is more money to be had if he comes out of retirement and if he chooses not too then he retired undefeated.
Sparks.
