Not in to footy tbh, but if I had to choose to a team to support then it would have to be MAN UTD seeing as I am a northerner (Bolton born a bred, and no I would definitely not support that shit team)

Hi There
Are there any other Hearts fans out there hoping its there year at last

I'd love it if hearts could win the title rather than Celtic. That's if Rangers can't win it.

Been to both Forrest and Countys grounds in the past I take it your from there by your profile

No problem!
I wish I lived nearer to old trafford..
I have been to both the city ground & Meadow Lane. My mum drags me to forest games, she's trying to get me to support forest
And yes, i'm from Nottingham.
I think it will be a close contest between Liverpool(ugh), Chelsea(ugh again) and United(yay)

being neither City or Utd I have friends and workmates who are both, we have lots of talk about football at work(sad but true!)I must admit I do lean towards liking city more (very sorry must be honest one of my rules)that is because of having supported hearts when I was growing up in Scotland. Apart from my brother and a few close friends everyone at school and in the local area was rangers or Celtic fans.
I still seem to have this thing for smaller teams, I used to follow QPR all over the country (been to many strange football grounds with them)when I lived in London could@nt get much smaller than them
Its great that you like going to football (Forrest have a great ground and a good support but again I do like County both nice grounds by the river)its getting hard for a lot of smaller teams ok for the Chelsea's Man Utd and Liverpools teams with a large fan base. Did you know that FC Utd the team set up by the Man Utd fans gets more fans at Burys ground than Bury do strange but true!
Went off on a bit of a rant sorry thats what football does you can wake up now, ps I would put a fiver on Chelsea walking away with the League! sorry again don't think Utd have got quite good enough players to compete with Chelseas money!

I can talk about football for ages. (I actually piss some guys off because they can't get a word in about it...!)
I go to a lot of games during the season - even teams like Hucknall town or Boston United. I hope to travel up to Gretna to see them play sometime in the season..I'm pretty impressed by them!
Forest still get an average of 20,000 fans per game at the city ground - Which is actually more than some premiership teams! They have a great fan base.
It doesn't surprise me about FC United, actually...my friends joke with me asking when i'm going to watch them play!
Chelsea may have the money - But there has to be flaws. I'm waiting for the chelsea empire to come crashing down. And when it does - I'll be laughing. big time.

The big worry I have is that like the english league the scots are following by buying in foriegn players don't get me wrong anyone is welcome to me look at Hearts now but look at some teams they but 11 players on the pitch none are british(have a guess which team) no young players. In the future how do english players or scots welsh or irish get the skills needed to play at the top level. Gretna have a man with money behind them now and they are building on three sides of their ground hope they do well in future lovely place by the way. Are you doing football tomorrow?

It's ok to have some foreign players. I think they should have a limit to how many you can have in your team per game. It will leave a couple of teams screwed to find a team.
Not just in this country, but in others, too. I read that one Italian team had no Italians in their team during one game. What's the point of that?
Some countries will be trying to get somebody play for the national side soon!
I'm not going to the football tomorrow
11.08.2006, 18:50 quote
I think they tried to limit the numbers a few years ago but something about peoples/players human rights and the EU stoped it?
Been to Nottingham quite a few times my son just finished University there, seems like a nice city/friendly place, Forrest have got a football academy have'nt they! so they must have youngsters coming through. Is there a lot of joking between the forrest and county fans who has the most fans would you say (i feel i can guess this one) Up here generations of the same family either support utd or city is it the same there. I know i am asking strange questions but i like finding out about other fans allways used to try and talk to the home fans when we were traveling. Its such a large part of football that seems to be missing now and that the fans you turn up week in and week out.(feel a rant coming on) Rant going away, stop if i am boring you its just seen I have seen so much change in football don't think its all for the good

Forest do have an academy. It's pretty good, too.
Forest and County aren't fierce rivals. It's nice to see football teams in the same place getting along nicely
Forest's worse rivalry is probably with either Liverpool, or Derby!
I know a lot of families (grandfathers/sons/grandkids/cousin/friends) that all go to games together at the city ground..it's great. My mum and dad are of the late 70s/early 80s era of forest matches - They went to games all throughout the 70s, right up until about '84. I used to go with them in the 90s, family days out!
