For me I support wolves because even though I was born and bred in Suffolk...hence i should love ipswich (eeek) but my dad is a norwich fan, and he took me to see norwich play wolves about 25 years ago, and I couldn't have cared less lol.
So I supported wolves out of spite, and have done ever since.
Yes
I know...Baggiebhoy is going to have a field day over this lol.
My second team are real madrid, the reason I support them is much more recent.
A. I needed a team that would win things
B. When I was living in Iceland, me and a friend of mine (who is an arsenal fan) went to se the champions league semi final i think it was...can't remember rightly...anyhow. He said I was of course going to support the english team (I hate arsenal, and he knows it) anyhow....to cut a long story slightly shorter. I said yes and went on to cheer real madrid, when he jabbed me in the side and asked what i was doing. I said.
"well real madrid have more english players in it than arsenal...so i AM cheering the english team"
Not a lot he could say after that.

For me it is Liverpool. Why ? The reasons are lost in the midst of time, but the earliest memory is an Everton vs Liverpool FA Cup final. Before that we'd be encouraged to support Tottenham, for reasons I don't remember.
I stuck with Liverpool through their "barren" period of not winning much despite consistently finishing quite high in the table, despite people I know jumping ship to support other teams. I was partially influenced by the fact that my interest comes and goes,. For that reason sticking with one team also means I have some sense of history and famous players over the years, who have played for Liverpool.
My dad supports, or at least used to support because I don't hear in talking about them anymore, QPR.
I have taken a passing interest in Norwich because their ground is within reasonable walking distance of where I live now. I might even go and see them at some point.

Why would I have a field day over that? If anything, it makes you a better person because you weren't actually born in Wolverhampton.
I support West Brom because my dad did before me, his dad did before him, etc, etc, since the club was founded.
My first game was a League Cup tie in November 1997, against Liverpool. I can still remember the anti-Wolves songs in the pub beforehand, how I had never heard so many swear words in my life, and the atmosphere had me hooked from the start.
Paul Peschisolido had two one-on-one's with David James, placed both of them right into his arms, the Robbie Fowler and Patrick Berger scored to make it 0-2. I should have known then. I should have walked away.

I support Spurs probably because my elder brother supports them, and Dagenham & Redbrige because I was born in Dagenham and my Dad helped to form them.
I have a passing interest in Grimsby because I have family there and I've been to see them a few times.

Liverpool as its probably the first team I remember watching and enjoying. Plus I think most of my friends when I was about 5 were Reds fans so that probably had some infulence on it.
I'm not a believer in the whole "support where you were born" thing. Which is good otherwise I'd be a Saints fan.

Sunderland fan here. Like most northeasterners I support my hometown team and hate the other teams from the region. We're very passionate around here.
