For me I support wolves because even though I was born and bred in Suffolk...hence i should love ipswich (eeek) but my dad is a norwich fan, and he took me to see norwich play wolves about 25 years ago, and I couldn't have cared less lol.
So I supported wolves out of spite, and have done ever since.

Yes
I know...Baggiebhoy is going to have a field day over this lol.

My second team are real madrid, the reason I support them is much more recent.
A. I needed a team that would win things
B. When I was living in Iceland, me and a friend of mine (who is an arsenal fan) went to se the champions league semi final i think it was...can't remember rightly...anyhow. He said I was of course going to support the english team (I hate arsenal, and he knows it) anyhow....to cut a long story slightly shorter. I said yes and went on to cheer real madrid, when he jabbed me in the side and asked what i was doing. I said.
"well real madrid have more english players in it than arsenal...so i AM cheering the english team"
Not a lot he could say after that.

For me it is Liverpool. Why ? The reasons are lost in the midst of time, but the earliest memory is an Everton vs Liverpool FA Cup final. Before that we'd be encouraged to support Tottenham, for reasons I don't remember.

I stuck with Liverpool through their "barren" period of not winning much despite consistently finishing quite high in the table, despite people I know jumping ship to support other teams. I was partially influenced by the fact that my interest comes and goes,. For that reason sticking with one team also means I have some sense of history and famous players over the years, who have played for Liverpool.

My dad supports, or at least used to support because I don't hear in talking about them anymore, QPR.

I have taken a passing interest in Norwich because their ground is within reasonable walking distance of where I live now. I might even go and see them at some point.

Knew there had to be a reason I liked Dave, Liverpool for me too.

Initially stemmed from a cup game on tv when my Dad said I should be supporting the local team, so I did the opposite, which was most satisfying as we thrashed them.

So many memories of great games and great players since then. Had some huge lows though, Hillsborough makes me cry even now, especially when the anniversary comes round each year, such a tragic waste.

RIP the 96, and never buy the S*n

Why would I have a field day over that? If anything, it makes you a better person because you weren't actually born in Wolverhampton. Laughing

I support West Brom because my dad did before me, his dad did before him, etc, etc, since the club was founded.

My first game was a League Cup tie in November 1997, against Liverpool. I can still remember the anti-Wolves songs in the pub beforehand, how I had never heard so many swear words in my life, and the atmosphere had me hooked from the start.

Paul Peschisolido had two one-on-one's with David James, placed both of them right into his arms, the Robbie Fowler and Patrick Berger scored to make it 0-2. I should have known then. I should have walked away.

I support Spurs probably because my elder brother supports them, and Dagenham & Redbrige because I was born in Dagenham and my Dad helped to form them.

I have a passing interest in Grimsby because I have family there and I've been to see them a few times.

Im a Man United supporter through and through. Since as far back as I can rmember I've supported them - and that includes the 80s - Were not all 90s fans / glory seekers etc.

My Dad always supported United and my brother supported city (until the 90s!!!!) and of course, I couldnt follow in the footsteps of my older brother.

My first ever game was an away game against Oldham (which united wion 2 - 0). since then I've done it all, Champions league, worthless cup (at the 2005/06 final too) FA cup, although the greatest one has to be the 7 - 1 thrashing of Roma earlier this year, the atmosphere was awesome, better than the chelsea match from the previous season - who said you can't stand in a stadium??

I have the hardest job of all, supporting Nottingham Forest, two time European Cup champions, the first of which to be relagated to the third tier of their Countries league system after winning the cup. Great. Reason why i support them? Dates back to 1991, FA Cup final, the only trophy Brian Clough failed to win as manager, against Tottenham. Cannot remember much, just me saying i wanted the reds to win. Luckily i said them, had i said whites i would have been a ritual sacrifice from Arsenal supporters in the family, my mum and brother!!

It's a tough life supporting them, as us Forest fans are never happy!! Even if we won the league by 20 points, there would still be some fans who would be unhappy we didnt win it by 30, you know the sort. We have absolute no ambition at the club, well we didn't til we signed Neil Lennon. We'll be Back in the big time and then ill have to start having some debates with you Premiership and Championship supporting fans Twisted Evil

Liverpool as its probably the first team I remember watching and enjoying. Plus I think most of my friends when I was about 5 were Reds fans so that probably had some infulence on it.

I'm not a believer in the whole "support where you were born" thing. Which is good otherwise I'd be a Saints fan.
