At the moment it looks like the Spurs strikers ain't going to score all season, so you might be right Mad. I was surprised when they loaned out Rossi, was it a season long loan, or can they call him back if needed ?

I normally am right.

It's either until christmas or a season long......

So you like people agreeing with you as well, I am just discussing that with someone Very Happy

Puzzles me why clubs nowadays loan out players they might need, like we did with Routledge. Must be something to do with the high wages.

Maybe I'm wrong but I cant see united getting the vital goals that will take them to the top and keep them there.

Seriously..normally everything I say is right. lol.

United loaned out all the good youngsters we had. Pique, Rossi, Bardsley...all the players I was hoping would play at least some part in Uniteds season.

As for the goals...I think we are just having a little blip there. We scored 8 in our first two games(please correct me if i'm wrong here) So something went right there.
As long as we don't concede many goals, we'll be just fine. But whether 'just fine' is good enough is another matter.

You learn as a man at an early age, its best to agree with women Smile

I think nowadays its out of many managers hands, the money men pull the strings. At Spurs we have Comolli [Director of football] and Levy [Chairman], and I suspect they decide these things. I don't suppose Jol wanted Routledge to go out on loan a day or so before the season started, which has left us with no width at the moment Mad

I think it depends on how Chelsea handle the pressure towards the end of the season, also whether they can build up a biggish lead again. There's no on pressure on teams at the moment, except some in the bottom 3-4. United have to keep snapping at Chelsea's tail, and drawing against teams like reading might not be good enough. But Chelsea are experienced no so maybe they wont have any problems.

Fergie still has control, I think.
It's annoying when they ship players out on loan.

Chelsea aren't experienced. So, they have an older team, full of superstars, but sooner or later, one of them will kick off because he's not getting enough first team action, or whatever. I'd love that person who kicks off to be Ballack..I hate him. People have said to me 'oh, he's not a dirty player'...They all shut up when he stamped on that guy.

I think a mixture of older and younger is better. Like the scum, man united...come on. Even spurs have some good, younger players. JJ, Lennon, Dawson..

What I'm saying is Chelsea are experienced and used to the pressure at the top, and Jose is experienced and used to the pressure of winning the top trophies.
There were a few times in the 90's when Man U was behind the team at the top of the league, but the pressures got to the team and United overpowered them in the end e,g Newcastle when the were about 12 points ahead of Man U, but then they couldn't take the pressure and fell apart toward the end and United took them and on the title. Chelsea wont do that so Man U have to snap at their tail all season IMO.

Unrest could be a problem at Chelsea though. All they need is one player to to get upset and start winding everyone up, especially all the more expensive players. It could be a big problem there, but it may never happen Sad

Most of Spurs team are under 25, so if we can keep this team for a few more years, until they are in their prime. We may be a force.
I'm not worried at the moment about our present position in the league, its still early days yet.

We'll see. Chelsea have to go wrong somewhere. I notice they don't handle the pressure of the champions league very well, which is pretty sweet.
I'd rather see dare I say it....the scum win the title than chelsea at the moment. Obviously after United, liverpool, everton and even man city....

Sometimes early results effect later positions..sounds crazy, I know.

the scum.. Twisted Evil NEVER!!, NEVER!!, NEVER!!.. wash your mouth out Razz

I don't think real, older Chelsea fans are really taken in by all this success and how its come about.
I go on football message boards, one in particular is a site with multi rival message boards, so there is a lot of banter between rival fans.
Before Abramovich, Chelsea fans came on the Spurs board in their numbers winding up the Spurs fans because of their success in recent years.
Since Abromovich and the success he has bought, they never come on. I suspect it's because of embarrassment because their success has been bought. They admit though they are enjoying it while it lasts.
Some of the older ones are a bit worried it will go tits up.
At least any of Spurs success will be bought with money generated from within.

The thing about this time of the year is, win a few games you could be up near the top.

Bit of an anti climax season for you at the moment... Bit like Spurs Crying or Very sad
Still a long way to go yet, obviously Liverpool should climb the league. But it seems to me you are a one man team at the moment.
Surprised

Oh..and...bad spurs players yesterday And Mido was lucky he didn't conceed a penalty and wasn't given a second yellow!

Tugay..hahahaha, I nearly peed myself laughing. Loved that he was sent off(even though he probably shouldn't have been...can't stand him)
Still..makes up for the red card he should have received when United played blackburn where he blantently kicked Ronaldo.
