For all those who kinda know me, I am not icelandic, but lived in Iceland for over six years.
I thought I would provide you with some hints and tips if you ever fancy visiting this wonderful country.
Ok first there are MANY tourist traps out there to avoid.
One is the Eden Gardens on the golden circle tour.....but the rest is worth seeing believe me and the second is the Icebar in Kaffi Reykjavik.
But on the whole Iceland is a wonderful country to visit, full of contrasts which is maybe why it is subtitled the land of fire and ice.
Europes biggest Glacier is located in Iceland called Vatnajokul, and you can take fantasic snow mobile tours. Also coming off it is jokulsalon a glacier lake which was in the bond films die another day and a view to a kill.
There are also some majestic waterfalls some of which are gullfoss, Skogafoss, and dettifoss.
They also have various geysirs, and the main one being Strokkur and Geysir, both seen on the golden circle. (Geysir is the first one discovered, and hence where the name came from)
But then there is Reykjavik, probably one of the most bohemian cities you will see.
Everyone thinks they are an artist, writer or singer, and you will some great sights.
If anyone is planning a trip to Iceland and needs some futher advice ask me here or pm me....i don't bite.

hee hee.
Try evefest, it is so much fun, happens at the same time as airwaves, so you have so much partying all over the city.
Besides ccp headquarters ain't that flash, it is just a smallish building, painted green. You go in and there is some stairs with newspapers scattered on the floor, you go up, a cheap homemade desk with a receptionist standing there looking bored out of her skull. But behind the scenes they are constantly developing stuff, quite exciting, but you need an appointment unless you go at evefest time, which is in october normally.
btw, if you fnacy giving nigel_sheldon a cool hundred million isk he will be happy as he lost his sexy raven with all named stuff on it
