heading off there in a few days..it sound so much more liberating, free and warm than us cold, hard westerners are, so i can't wait.

Mexico and the Middle east sound kinda cool places.. Mexico coz of the Pagan history and Middle east coz o the fantastic weather and biblical stance..

(been to Turkey but it's hardly the middle east.)

Where you going mate?

I've been to the south of India lots of times, and I can confirm it is liberating, free and warm, but it can be scary as well at times. Just be careful and you'll probably be alright, and remember if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is, although everything is like 5 x cheaper over there...or it was before the recession anyways.

Good luck.

Iran is a fantastic country believe me. I am Half Iranian myself and a lot of people know very little about Iran. Some people get it mixed up with Iraq.
The summers are hot and winters can be very cold with snow depending which part of Iran you go to.
Its not all desert, there is a lot of mountains and trees and even places that look like europe.

Iran is in Asia?: it stretches between western & central Asia. All "The Middle East" is in Asia bar Egypt.
