I was born there. Amazing place. But a few of your suggestions are bad. Surfing = eaten by sharks. Swimming with dolphins = eaten by sharks. Any water based activity = eaten by sharks. Very scary place to go in the water. I've sailed there, and you are guaranteed to sail over a shark if you are on the water. eeek.

I was in SA for a month (july-Aug) four years ago and fell in love with it! I thought Cape Town was sooo beautiful and have plans to return at least once more!! Stayed there, Jo'burg and quite a few of the parks as well, even got to see the big 5!! Kept a diary of what we did each day (was a school trip after all) must go read it now to bring back all the memories!
