I find that nailing loved family pets to the front door also works.

Maybe each women should put their own 10 commandments on their profiles so the poor sods who send out messages know where they stand ?

One problem with that Jeg......these blokes would have to read our profiles first which most of them so obviously dont Laughing Laughing

Not sure why not....I enjoy reading women's profiles, especially new ones on here ..and it does give you a better chance of a reply. Whether the reply was worth the effort is another thing Razz

Think thats the problem though...most of the types of guys we are looking at see a pretty picture on a profile and dont bother to read any further!! Laughing Laughing

I can believe it....and some of the women need lessons on how to reply to messages to make it easier for men, instead of just typing an answer then 'lol'..we need a bit of reaction like asking us questions. Wink

Oh, right. You know, in all the time I've been here, I never realised there were words on people's profiles.

Seriously, though, I still can't believe that anyone thinks the ratios matter very much. The stuff the girls have said so far, to me, suggests that they are quick & efficient at dealing with the signal to noise ratio for starters.

What's more, I don;t see how even a 10:1 ratio in favour of men here is going to make any decent woman more likely to read and reply to a shit message, or just one that doesn't appeal to them. I mean, they're not stuck here, they all have other avenues and options like everybody else.

just curious - but what about blokes who do go through the time and effort to read someone's profile?
i just read one about someone doing volcanology - not exactly nailing a small defenseless rodent to the door quality - but talkable yes.

cribbing apart - do the men who actually qualify the ten commandments of messaging ever get to stage two - i.e. actually being messaged back?

unrelated to all this - butevery topic i seem to touch dies, i wonder why?

They aren't 10 commandments, it's just what would cause me to reply or not.

I think this one died it's natural death anyway, you just posted late. It's now just a vehicle for Jeggea & Cazzabee to flirt on Razz

Or start some yourself? I've tried to start at least one each day that I've been here.

Starting a 'proper' discussion or debate on almost any dating related issue is a good way to get people going, but I'm afraid the ratio and age difference topics are just about worn out now Smile

Well, I like it here, might as well join in. Although it gets a bit time consuming spending time on the forum AND answering messages. Mind you, things are looking up on the dating side though.

Excuse me????? If I want to flirt with someone then I would make it a hell of a lot more obvious. Musnt be allowed to have a friendly bit of banter with your mates anymore. Must have missed that email.......

I didn't realise we were flirting either, must have been a first for me then, not sure I'm very good at it Smile.

err...I take it the Vodka was flowing well last night then Cazz Wink
