I've noticed how alot of us in these forum discussion boards sometimes go off on a tangent occasionally and its kind of frowned upon to do that.
So I have a request to the mods/owner here.
Please can we use this thread here to chat freely, meandering off the vertical rigid thread and sally back and forth as and when someone thinks of summat to say at any given moment?
I for one am a very guilty party of meandering at times, I dont mean to but its just that sometimes someone posts summat and I think "Oh that reminds me..."
Lets just say I started a topic by saying I went to the natural history museum today.
2nd poster: I prefer the Tate
3rd poster: I went to the tate once and met rolf harris
4th poster: I loved "jake the peg when i was a lad"
....and so it would go on.
I for one love to be able to chitchat ad hoc with others here, both men and women but I dont really want to private message someone about summat that's not strictly on topic/on the thread - its nice to think that others can put in their tuppence worth as well.
To be honest I don't really 'get' the point of a few of the topics/threads here as they are no more than a collective private diary that no one's allowed to give any depth to.
If I am talking total rubbish, or the mods/owner think I am bang out of order asking this then please delete this and accept my apologies.
Thanks.

Try not caring about what others think about your ideas! You actually beat me to it by about 10 minutes, there should be somewhere where you can say what you like, even if it doesn't makes sense, or you can wander from one topic to another and not get lost reloading the slowwwwwww pages over and over. Bring it on is what I think, perhaps you could have given something as a starter to get things going though, but now at least there is no specific topic to wander from.........

Well, I *did* go to the natural history museum today (with a fellow flirtboxer) and I did once meet rolf harris - in a shopping arcade in poole - he had been singing and he came over and chucked my then 18months old son under the chin who screamed blue murder "Go away you NASTY MAN!!" oooops.
Ok, here goes nothing.....consider thread begun!

Does that signify that you went on a date? (Not with Rolf Harris), even though I loved Jake the Peg.......

It used to say in the rules that the Anything Else forum is a place where going off topic is allowed, but it doesnt say that anymore, not sure if that rule still applies. I think it should do, as anything else implies literally "anything else" Laughing

I hit submit once and it did it in another thread so I deleted them..... Maybe I need a new computer? It is hanging too long when I submit but I learned my lesson the first time and so do not continue to hit the button over and over again out of frustration. I only seem to have trouble at this site?

Are you still watching this show? Don't forget like the presenter said, to express yourself and put it into practice!

Thanks Cazzabee you are a darling xx I didn't think you were guilty of anything, t'was I who was guilty of not staying on topic and just noticed others do too (which I quite like) and it werent just you - and you was quite justifiably asserting yourself in your role of mod surely? - but one or maybe 2 can't remember other members didnt like it, so i thought well i got to respect others so thats why i thought this Meandering Thread might be a good idea. Very Happy
PS Megalone what bee gives milk or was it drinks milk what did you say? Is this a joke or are you actually asking a serious question? maybe you could google it cuz i don't know the answer to that one.

Please can anybody tell me what's the difference between a sauna and a steam room? At the leisure centre I've noticed the signs and just wondered whats the difference.
On another thread talking about ogling women in the gym someone mentioned steam rooms but I can't ask there cuz I'd be going off topic. Sad

I think what was actually meant by 'going off topic' is someone (possibly me) entering a discussion about say the Iraq war and somehow managing to get everyone into a maybe quite detailed discussion about 'farmyard love'.
I think everyone here is quite tolerant, cos they put up with me at times, so I don't think you would be winged at for asking a question about the topic being discussed.
A sauna, can reach 90 degress centrigrade (air temperature), at those sort of temperatures the air cannot be to humid, or you would run the risk of boiling the water present in the air,
So, a steam room runs at much lower temperatures, as the heat comes directly from the steam, and if you had the temperature too high you would get scalded.
I think that's right, but if anyone else knows better then I am sure they can explain........

Nice to see you put a photo up anyway, I was quite surprised when I saw it cos from the way you were talking the other day, I expected you to have three heads or summat.........

I'll take that as a compliment cuz i desperately need one hahaha!!!!

Btw you asked earlier about me day in london with a fellow FB member. Not sure what to say really. I thought we both had a really nice day and got on well, but since then apart from a text when i was on the train home saying "cheers" I've not heard from him since.
I;ve emailed expanding on "thanks for you company" and i've seen from his profile that he's been on this website today and yesterday.
I have no intention of being a bothersome stalker, so will leave it as it is.
But I am confused as to why i've been dumped like that as we had both agreed we would just meet 'as friends having a day out together'.
Ho hum.
And thanks megalone for explaining steam and sauna, sounds to me like you are prolly right, makes sense.
