donkers

Recently I have watched "Bizarre Foods" now curious on who else would try eating things like "Chicken cooked in own blood" or "Pigsnout".

My brother lives in Italy. When I visited, I was told Giuseppi had died for me; thankfully he was a pig...still felt a bit bad for him though. Over the weeks we ate all of him. Trotters, which I disturbed the father of the house taking out the oven...he had sleeves rolled up, which made him briefly look like he had mad extended arms. We ate Giuseppi's face with fresh orange juice. I thought I had found a tooth in a lasagna, but it was only part of the his spine.

One of the weirdest foods, is on most Chinesse menus under the so called 'European dishes' ...the chicken omlette! what next a beef milkshake?

Chicken with chocolate however IS good!

I found a kipper in a pair of knickers once but was reluctant to cook it in case it was diseased...

Ever heard the story about the couple who went to a restaurant in the Far East with their poodle? They called to the waiters to take the dog away somewhere to be fed, which they seemingly did. After a while the waiters came back with a silver platter and placed it in front of them. The couple found upon lifting the lid, to their horror, that their poodle had been cooked and served to them.

That is bizarre food and poor communication.

Poor poodle. Do you know if they broke all its bones one by one whilst it was alive before cooking it, to tenderise it, before they slowly peeled its screaming skin off - like they do in Japan...?

As for scallops, clams are always tasty when prised open, but you always have to watch for the grit inside of them from unclean foreign objects mistakenly sucked inwards...

I would assume that the bones were extracted and then crushed up to use for herbal medicine - as that sort of thing seems to be a 'delicacy' in those parts too...

I thought by bizarre, you were talking like..

Spag bol with chocolate sprinkles (it's weirdly nice, but let's not go there)

Crushed charcoal & marmolade on toast (also weirdly nice)
