Have met a few people of here most of them date things, but was a 'romance' which was very intense, i'm sure you all now who i am talking about, a certain 'cheeky boy' we got on great and still do as mates, it was the distance thing, very hard to sustain over a long period of time .........

Dont know how realistic it is to meet 'the one'of a dating site, its hard enough in the real world, without putting any distance in the way ........... x

I have to agree with you 100% on that! Razz

Try dating someone from New Mexico sometime!! Laughing

Ive never met anyone off this site, nearly did earlier this year, but in the last 12 months i met 3 women off the internet and the latest lady i met in september has turned in a relationship. I agree distance is very hard to sustain, especially if neither of you is prepared to move to be together properly, as that is the ultimate goal surely....to be together? Very Happy

Just chat with him longer ( until you feel ready) especially on the phone to, if you havent done so already. Lifes to short Katie, you never know he could be the one !!! - Take your time though and good luck

The question of who moves is the latter obstacle - it rarely gets that far as the first obstacle is difficult to get past - the question of breaking the news to your family that you've met someone from another part of the world! Razz

If its just the initial meet/date you're worried about Katie. Ask someone to arrive before your arranged time at the venue to keep an eye on things, just for the first date. Your father, brother, friend, etc. Then if the man isn't quite what you think he is or there is a problem, then you have someone safe to look after you. You dont have to tell the man.
Make sure you have a start time and an end time and stick to it. then you can have someone pick you up. Also stay in the one place. If the man is genuine he will accept all this Wink
