Don't know if you have realised this yet, but I actually am sometimes happy, and that is the best feeling in the world.

Then something or someone always brings me down again Confused

yes I know you can be happy and when you are your a totally different person. We all have our knocks Laura but you got to learn to take them in your stride as part of life, sweep them under the carpet and get on with things. I know its easier said than done but there's people on these boards who have gone through hell of a lot more than you have yet dont moan and groan about it all the time. Seriously now, maybe you need proffesional help.

Please dont take what Ive said the wrong way, only trying to help, not have a go at you.

Laura honestly that happens to everyone in life ........... the people that bring you down and make you feel unhappy arent really friends .. i dont want to sound patronising by saying this ,, but you are young .. and you will learn x

My mate is maybe the best looking one out of us, earns more money...but he dislikes himself. When he's got a girlfriend, he seems to go out of his way to put her off him, then when she blows him out he gets depressed.
But I think his problem is a dislike of himself.

I know a lot of you probably have been through more than me - but you are all a little older(not disrespect meant here)

About the professional help..I have a psychiatrist appointment in january. My doctor referred me just over a month ago. Maybe that will help....only bit of advice I have ever followed from my parents.

I know you didn't mean it in the 'wrong way', Ant.

Some of my friends are great, and I love them to pieces....I am going through the process of getting rid of the bad apples.

And it isn't just my 'friends' that bring me down. Confused

Well you've done the hard part, admitting you may have a problem is half the battle. Hope it goes well for you.

That is why I am desperately trying not to be alone this christmas.

I spent all of last christmas crying, and that definately isn't good.
