OK is anyone elsed cheesed off with what His Toniness Lord of the universe and his gang of so called socialists have done to this country?????

Take a look at what has changed since he came to power???

NHS a shambles!

Welfare State! What welfare state?

Human Rights!! if you are a working Brit forget it!

Yep

'EDUCATION!!, EDUCATION!!, EDUCATION!!' was a joke, and
'tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime' was a laugh.

Minimum wage has dragged wages down and done more harm then good.

A lot of people has to rely on benefits of one sort or another...

..and its only debt that is keeping the economy going.

I could go on and on, cant think of anything good he has done.

Fooked it all up so Blair invents a 'terrorist threat', I have to live with the problems he has caused on a daily basis.

BTW Hello mate Smile

Good to see you here Dave Hope you are keeping as well as possible
I agree about the welfare, tho' I don't do too badly on it because I have kids at home, it stinks for a single person. My ex left work cos of temporary poor health and the help he got was abyssmal. Thankfully his health returned fairly quickly (it was his job that had made him ill) and he managed to get a new job fairly quickly otherwise he would have been on the streets.

I hate this govement, full of false promises and unfullfilled targets. Brown has raped the pensions to feed our economy which has now led to people having to work for longer into old age. We are a soft touch when it comes to imigration and are being bled dry by so called asylum seekers. We pander to the minoritys for fear of upsetting their faith yet allow the extremists to spread their hatred for us un challenged.

They tax us to the hilt (wasn't one of Blairs promises 'no more taxes') and weare being forced to pay more and more into the goverment coffers just to be part of euroupe which on one hand can help us with our trade and industry...no wait, what industry, but allows Brussels to run our lives and dictate what we can and cant do in our own country.

Our health system is on meltdown. Cut out all the pen pushers and get nurses and doctors back on the wards. Paperwork never saved anybodys life, doctors and nurses working in open hospitals do.

Im going to stop before I burst a blood vessel...AARRGGHHH

I think the shit is going to hit the fan soon, and there will be bigger problems. Blairs only interested now in feathering his nest in the USA for when he leaves or is pushed out of the job. He will be a big star in America.

I wish the Tories would be better..but we all know they wont.

This is the problem, who do we replace labour with. The only real alternative is the Tories who, lets face it, wont be any different despite what they say andpromise to do.

Blair just bows to Bush and acts like his bitch, Bush talks and Blair rolls over in agreement.

The Tories will do what all parties do, not say a lot until just before the next election, then promise the earth. Then if they get in, blame the previous government when it all goes wrong.

The War could be taken out of Bush and Blair's hands by this committee, Blair has made him and the country look fools, and let the armed forces be controlled by the government.

Hopefully next year will be a better year for you Dave, but I think there's method to the madness.
Unfortunately it seems that politicians of all colour seem to think that to compete in the global market we have to go down to other nations level. These things seem to be happening in a lot of other countries as well.
The Tories don't seem that shocked in the way Blair is carrying on, maybe because they have a lot of agreement with him. But some of these so called 'reforms' were started by Thatcher and has been getting worse every year..and the Tories will carry on with them in my opinion.
But my mate who's setting up his company operating from India and importing into this country, is expecting to earn millions and is quite happy with it all.

i understand mate and i know you will be feeling pretty fcuked off about it, i know i would. i work for the government too, im not allowed to wear anything or conduct myself in a way that would affiliate myself to another political party whilst im at work...i work for the home office. i agree with everything you said in your rant, make no mistake about that, i just know that alot of people feel that way too, they just dont do nothing about it. me included.

anyway, i just feel that the people in our country are not stupid, they can see what goes on, the information is out there for those that dont know, but most just claim that it isnt something they should bother about because it doesnt affect them or they arnt interested. the problem with modern life, i feel, is that people have become proffessional escapists, as long as they are able to watch eastenders, buy their computer games, or whatever other form of escapism it is that they choose to do, then everythings all right. until something happens that affects everybody, and those people are unable to enjoy their own form of escapism, it will remain the same. the poll tax riots of 1990 are good example where many people came together with a common goal of protesting against an unfair tax. we still have an unfair tax, but that little gathering on 31st march 1990 marked the begining of the end of thatcherism cos she knew she no longer had a majority vote after that. im sure some people will think differently, but i feel that way.

john reid isnt any better than blair im afraid, and id put my money on him being the new labour leader. pensioners have been campaigning for abolishment of council tax for a good number of years now, without much physical support from people who are not pensioners http://www.isitfair.co.uk/ i went on a demo with them about 3 years ago, could have been alot more people go if people cared enough to do something pro active instead of just rolling over like a submissive puppys saying 'we cant do nothing to change it' , but thats what we have been doing. and i repeat again, i am guilty of that just as much as anybody else, so im not slating you or anybody, just adding my thoughts on it.
i do hope things look up for you soon dave.
Tony Thatcher has not been so good for our country, i think we have all sat back and watched this country go down the plughole...but after we watched eastenders of course!

I agree with most of what you say there Scott, but it wasn't the riots that got rid of Thatcher's community charge and ultimately Thatcher IMO. It was the fact that a lot of people refused to pay it, which meant council's didn't have any money to operate. Most people didn't like the fact that someone earning £150 a week had to pay the same as someone earning £2000 a week. The community charge was much more unfair then the present council tax. But we are paying more and more, and getting less and less.

But you're right in what you say about how lethargic the British public are...but one thing they can do is refuse to vote for anyone..that does hit the political parties.

yeah i know its not that important but i didnt say that the poll tax demo in 1990 'got rid of thatchers community charge' more that i was saying that large scale show of solidarity amongst people against new tax, in my opinion, marked the begining of the end of thatchers reign. with that much unpopularity how could she have ever suceeded for any longer?
today the central government is giving local authorities less and less of our income tax, and so the shortfall is having to be made up by local councils in the form of higher council tax bills, cuts to services councils provide, money made by the councils through parking fines and so on. same goes for the police, they are getting less and less money given to them so they are looking at making money through speeding tickets, which i think they can keep a percentage of?
but anyway its all being fcuked up in front of our eyes, its not hidden, we know its going on, we just choose to ignore.

The latest estimate is that by 2016 we will all be paying more than 40% in taxes!!!

LOL PMSL i'm orf mate first chance i get!!!

UT UT UT UT UT UT UT

The tax burden must be near 40% now for the lower paid, when you take into consideration TV licences, fuel tax [which I think is about 70-80p in the pound], alcohol tax etc. All these thing hit the less well off.
