1st date with a 'stranger' of the internet Id got for lunch - if there was a spark then there is a chance of dinner and if not, then you wont miss the pub, its more relaxed that way.

A date with someone I know - dinner I think, and if I know them well then all the romantic stuff down by the river weraing a life vest just in case she doesnt like me...

My ideal first date....a drive out into the countryside in my volvo then sitting beneath a tree having a G&T on my new picnic blanket while Glenn Miller plays on the gramophone.
