Plans for Valentines day....what like spend money on tat saying I love you in trashy red foil cards and over priced flowers just because everybody else is and you think it is expected of you? Instead of doing/making something special on any other given day for your loved one?

Sorry, I hate the sell out these so called "religious days" have become. You can show somebody you love them on any day, it doesn't have to be the day which corporate industry and the media ram down your throat every year in order to make money out of your conscience.

Never been one to 'celebrate' feb 14th, single or whatever, but this year its my son's wedding day.
Well, it will be if the M25 and side roads thaw out enough for me to drive him and his fiancee down to kent in time! (why oh why didnt they just book it for the summer in their home town?)

Turns out i may be getting a visit from someone on here!! Won't hold my breath tho!!!

Ouch, that's harsh.
I spent it very single, but at my eldest son's wedding and had a fantastic time seeing my step kids and step grandkids etc etc.
It was fab, I didnt mind in the least being single.
