If you receive a spam mail, advertising a website blablablawhatever.com, then the best thing is to contact the website blablablawhatever.com and find out why the have sent you an email without your permission and how they got hold of your email address in the first place.

Please also forward those emails to support AT flirtbox.biz if an email has a faked sender that appears to be from Flirtbox or in general looks like a fake Flirtbox emails.

If you have a suspicion about something or have a question, it is ok to ask here on the forums.

But it is not ok to make accusations that have not been verified.

In general there are many possibilities, how spammers manage to send spam to an email address:

There is various ways how spam reaches your mailbox:

- crawlers that found your email address on the internet

- every email addresses you have send an email to, might have collected your email address in order to send you spam

- some spammers use random generators, combined with words from dictionaries, often searched keywords on google and usernames from myspace, facebook etc...as well as existing domain names.

- your password of your email provider might be easy to guess - some robots/bots login automatically on Yahoo/MSN/GMAIl and extract email addresses from your address book, sent/received emails and friends emails

- your password of your myspace/facebook might be insecure - bots also crawl those website for email addresses

- internet cafés / public computers / public/free wireless lan accesses are also sometimes being used to collect email addresses

- your wlan at home might be open or use an easy-to-guess password

- if you every user a proxy server, all your data including your email address might be stored somewhere dodgy

- some email providers have exploits, so that hackers can directly insert emails into your inbox without even sending emails.

Independent of how they got hold of your email address, they have no right to contact you / spam you, without your consent and if you have time, it might be worth to find out who send you the spam mails and contact them.

So, there is various ways. The only people who can definitely tell you, is the ones who send you the spam - so ask them, but not via email or your email address will receive even more spam.
