Just thought it might be interesting to have a thread that comments about HAIR and some stories related to it.
Prompts-
Do you hate or love ginger hair?
Are you petrified of dreadlocks?
Do you find it hard to leave the house if your hair's not come out right?
Have you had a colouring accident?
Love long? frizzy? short? curly? spikey? straightend hair?
Has it come between you and a partner, disagreeing may be on how it should look or time washing it?

Having locks could mean more than one thing at the same time , it could be for spiritual purposes, fashion,or political.
Locks to many organisations ,stands for a political statement about rebellion to say the least,as it highlights the greater resentment for Babylon and the system by which they run things. Unfortunately the previous labels of rastafarians with presentations of violent and aggressive behaviour, drug peddling and pimping, still hold till today and have led to the general perception of dreadlocks .As such people pre judge you before you even open your mouth
Not sure about those who have locks as a means of curbing the barbershop due to the current credit crunch ,lol.
I still get looks now and again pon street ,if my locks are out and about from people in general, but still feel the negative projection from others which cannot be helped, either way.
As is expected ,people will always have an unfounded perception or reason to either discredit or acknowledge a locksman ,while others would try to familiarise with one out of curiousity, and perhaps to better educate themselves on the issue or myth possibly surrounding locks in general.
I have not had a problem with the ladies I dated in the past though,in fact they all loved my locks to be frank, although one of them thought I actually had extensions woven into my hair,it took her some time to actually believe it was my own real hair, lol.
Love my locks ,knew about the consequences of growing them and loving every minute of their growth . By the way what's the diffference between dreadlocks and goldilocks

If there really is to be a soul mate out there, I think your soul mates are those people who make you feel at home, wherever you are. That hearing their voices and knowing they're close to you (even if in thought) makes you feel at ease. |

Lee Evans said something about hair which always makes me smile when it happens to me..........He's waiting down stairs and from upstairs he hears his wife say, 'It won't go!' It's the same hair, your putting the same stuff on it why won't it go? You never hear the hair dresser saying that do you?

& the bit about accidentally opening the passenger side window in the car instead of his own after his missus spending all night doing her hair then going mental..

Depending on the outfit, makeup and event - you choose the suitable hairstyle. I personally like straight hair the most but it's good to be able to have alternate styles - you don't have rules to play by so you can alter it as many times as you want to create your perfect look and if it's done correctly.. enhance your features
Hair changes your appearance A LOT.
Love it (:

Lol, I once had a blazing row about a sudden change in hair, an ex shaved it all off, without warning, and if i remember correctly, just before a big family event.
I went nuts, spitting feathers nuts, went and stayed at my parents nuts! It was horrible, some men can get away with it, (some look good shaven) but some just cant( cough Britney). He couldnt, it looked AWFULL, then the old argument came up, its his head! My side always was, I have to look at it, wake up seeing it, and am the one walking around next to it, Blahhhhh, never forget it, but then it said alot about my relationship too. Typical ex, sod everyone else, he will do what he wants when he wants, no consideration for anyone else, not even his partner.
If its clean and brushed at the least, aint so bothered about the style.
Thats my 10 pennies, by my reckoning

I hate my hair, only because it takes me 2 hours to straighten it
. My natural hair is very thick and curly.

I would never have guessed AM so don't you every wear it naturally the way it wants to go?
My hair is dry and frizzy in the sea air and rain, but will occasionally let me style it straightish if I dry it carefully, but it definitely does it's own thing in the end

my hair has been purple, red, red and puple, blond bits through it, black, back purple for awhile, then black and bubblegum pink, then for awhile i let the colour fade so i was verging on ginger, now im back to my natural which is dark brown, im lucky cuz its naturally curly so i get the option of wearing it that way without the hassel:)
