Just for everyone using a broadband connection from a fixed landline phone!
Latest Govt plan should be in place before the next election a £6 annual fee for ALL landline connections whether you are on broadband or not! estimated to raise £175 million for the treasury! |
Does that include those of us who dont use conventioanl BT lines but cable services?

So what are you guys gonna do about it? Other than moan on a dating site.
I really want to know your plan of action. |
Your responses seem to put across the message that you don't care about the £6 tax and if thats how you feel it then thats good for you. But to say, imply or mock that people should not discuss how they feel about something simply because they do not know the solution or have the single handed power to change something, is ludicrous. Wether its discussed in the Anything Else section of a dating forum, in a pub or in the house of parliament, shouldn't really matter, should it?

Well if you guys enjoy moaning, by all means, go for it. I just wanted to point out that your lives might be better if you looked at the pros rather than the cons.
Did you say £175m? Wow! My £6 a year might help build a hospital! It's okay looking at the cons if you're being productive about it. That's why I was hoping someone would demonstrate a little positivity. I guess I was being foolish. |

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad Other things just make you swear and curse. When you're chewing on life's gristle Don't grumble, give a whistle And this'll help things turn out for the best... And always look on the bright side of life Always look on the bright side of life You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing. What have you got to lose? Nothing! Always look on the bright side of life... |
We can't all be positive all of the time. But here you are, moaning about people who you say are moaning, so where does that end? It is great to bury your head in the sand about some issues, but really it is up to individuals what they consider to be something worth moaning about, isn't it? and of course that includes whether or not you feel it is worth moaning about people who are moaning!
I do agree that it is useful to see the positive side of things which may have a potentially negative knock on effect later. But I don't see the point in mocking people for sharing their displeasure at something they feel is another unnecessary burden TO THEM? Unless of course you are just trying to make yourself look better to other people who might believe that you never experience displeasure and express it?
