aww if you are lonely i am sure we can think of some way to make you feel special and happy....just let us know when you are and watch the compliments and niceness flood towards you
09.07.2006, 11:14 quote
I believe we have some clouded views in this thread, Blaming the media for making people be attracted to slim women is wrong, because people are attratced to what they are attracted to. Some people have a natural attraction to larger people as others have an attraction to slim women.
And as for people calling you fat thats just because thats the way some people are, we will always have the minority who are rude towards others. But i also cant stand people that moan, if your fat and your not happy then there are things you can do about it, if your happy with the way you look then thats perfect.
My personal preference is a girl that is smaller in height than me, doesnt mean that a taller women wouldnt be attractive. I just think we should always feel comfortable, i wouldnt go the gym if i was happy with the way i looked, people can always improve on the way they feel about themselves. I feel good but like to have a goal and feel even better.

Wow, i cant believe i have not posted here, strange for me, hehe
anyway, i am always honest about how i am, how i look and what i want, if people dont like me for who or what i am too bad for them thats there loss not mine, People are so blind and manipulated by the press to want that perfect image of someone(beauty mostly) i agree with an earlier post, that people do not see what is really within someones soul, mind and heart.
it makes me want to cry for some people that gets abused by people with there comments and makes me want to rip out the tongues(or cut off something) that do make the comments, sorry just really in strange mood when it comes to men right now. and some women too

I think when it comes to size men will always find a reason to insult, its just a vulnerability they pick on, Im size 8/10 and always have been (no, i dont diet and Id love to be more curvy etc) and often get called skinny or anorexic and that can be equally as hurtful!!!!

| I had a date with an FB woman who had a pretty face on her profile and described her body shape as "About Average".
Sorry, did you think I wouldn't notice when we met in the flesh? I could describe myself as 6 foot tall, but the woman would know I was a liar when we met up. What's the point of lying? |
But what if her definition of the word 'average' was different to yours? that wouldnt make her a liar. I thought the average size of a woman in uk was about 14-16?? not sure, just what ive heard but dont know where it came from or how the result was obtained.
Also i wonder how many men say they are looking for long term relationship and love when really they are looking for one night of sex? lol so i suppose people lie to try an get what they really want. I do see your point though, rather silly to lie when u know ur obviously going to be caught out, then that ruins any trust u may have felt.

Why oh why can not people just accept others for who they are and not of the way they look? ![]()

To Katalina:
I commented on the issue of "average" way up-thread. For info, I would say the woman was about a size 18 generally, tending towards size 20 hips. For her age, that is NOT average, not even close. Please note that I never disapproved of how she looked - I would never do that, just that she mis-represented herself.
Also, I never suggested that women lie and men don't. Of course, both do, and I deplore both, although the men lying just makes honest men look better in comparison, so from a selfish viewpoint, I don't mind as much.
To Trace:
There's a big difference betweeen accepting how someone looks and being attracted to them.
There's no avoiding the physical side of things, I reckon. Sure, it would be nice if everyone thought we were as sexy as Brad Pitt/Johnny Depp or Kate Beckinsale/Jessica Alba, or whoever.
But for almost all of of us, that's never gonna be, so I think we need to accept *that*, and be confident that the whole package of looks plus personality all adds up to something that's attractive to some people.
29.08.2006, 10:44 quote
I understand what you mean Scot, but the girls have all interpreted your comment as "shallow".
Ladies, under no circumstances is size 18 average. The average in the UK is 14, although it's moving up to 16 thanks to the record number of obese people in the UK.
It's perfectly acceptable for people to be accomodating about weight, it's a sensitive issue - but it's when people lie. Even if this lady thought her weight was "average" for herself, it's naive to believe she didn't think this was misleading people on her profile.
Is there no option to leave that feature blank? No comment? I think that's more honest.
29.08.2006, 11:38 quote
Well, if anyone took my comment as an attack on generously-proportioned women, I hope I've already clarified that that has nothing to do with it.
To me, a size 18/20 woman calling her body shape "average" is **exactly the same issue** as a man who clicks "long-term relationship" when he really means "meaningless sex with as many woman as possible".
It's lying.
Deliberately.
This is about lying, not about women's body shapes.
As for me being shallow - I'm a lot more demanding in terms of quality of personality than in looks, although of course, looks are important, too; who would deny it? After all - the girls in here are pretty much all hot for the same hot guys, so it pretty strongly implies that they focus on looks just as much as men do. Which is fine and natural and I don't see why people complain about it. It's human nature.

Well said Scott, have had that happen to me once. Have nothing against larger/curvy women and have dated a few, in fact I find a curvy woman more attractive than a skinny one as I just want to give a skinny girl a burger and fries to put some meat on their bones!. Personality plays a greater part in my choice of date but as you said looks has it’s part too, the physical attraction has to be there, and for someone to make themselves out to be something they are not kind of makes you think about the honesty of the person right from the start. These days I make sure I get a recent picture or even better if they have a web cam get them to turn it on for a few seconds! I do the same if asked, no disappointments on both parts then.
To go off the subject for a second, girls, .. if you paint your nails don’t just paint over them or wait until they flake and chip it’s such a turn off on a first date lol
27.11.2006, 12:41 quote
